Staff were lovely and opening hours over the holidays were a real plus. Popped in for a quiet pint and the space has real character. The house red was a decent, easy-drinking option that suited the relaxed vibe.

The old church setting is stunning, especially the high ceilings and the organ. Makes for a pretty special meal.

The pub's got a great local feel, perfect for catching a game. Different sports channels on, lively but not too loud. Really enjoyed a relaxed pint here, the vibe was just right.

The chips are better now, they've got this peppery seasoning and they leave the skins on. Good texture from that. Still, I'd take them a bit crispier. The gravy was thick, really good with them.

I was really impressed by the selection of Scottish products. The heather honey is so pure, you can really taste the difference. Great for anyone looking for something a bit special.

Family-run spot, really cosy. The gyoza were honestly the best I've ever had - perfect crisp on the outside, juicy filling. Sashimi pieces were generous and fresh. That katsu curry was spot on. Prices are fair for what you get. Staff were lovely.

Stopped by for breakfast three times while in Edinburgh. The food's fresh and there's a good variety to pick from. Really liked the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon option. Staff were always friendly, which made the mornings nice.

Festive vibe. Staff were friendly. Menu had a good choice. Went for the truffle pasta. Solid. Could taste the truffle. Portion was decent. A bit pricey though.

As someone who's careful about what I drink with food, I was impressed. The server really knew the wine list and suggested a lovely pairing for my gluten-free meal. The bread was surprisingly good too. Felt very well looked after.

Loved the vibe here! The candlelight made it feel so cosy and romantic. The building itself has this charming, rustic charm with really interesting bits of decor. Perfect for a chilled evening.

Stopped by after visiting the uni. The wait for a table was about 15 minutes, which was fine. The smoked salmon scrambled eggs were really good, fresh and tasty. A solid lunch spot.

Lovely spot for a catch-up with friends. The vibe is relaxed and the tables are nicely spaced. We tried the vegan pasta and it was fresh and tasty. Just a bit on the pricier side, but the service was spot-on.

The biryani was a bit bland this time. Usually it's spot on, but the flavour just wasn't there tonight. The dosa was tasty, but the portion felt smaller than I remembered.

The chocolate fondue was a proper treat. Loads of bits to dip - marshmallows, fruit, the lot. The baked Camembert starter was spot on too. Really hit the spot for a chilled evening.

The burritos are solid, and they have a decent selection of local beers that paired nicely. The ingredients tasted fresh.

Decent variety on the menu, and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. Appreciated the big jug of water on the table – a nice touch. The pasta I ordered was pretty good, though a little on the salty side for my taste.

The cocktail class with Max was so much fun! Perfect for a group of friends. He was really engaging and got everyone involved, even my mate who's usually shy. We all left feeling like amateur mixologists.

The mussels were spot on, and the roast beef was cooked just right. Perfect for a catch-up with friends over a few glasses of wine. We ended up staying for ages just chatting.

A proper pub with character. Their house gin & tonic was spot on and a fair price. Dog-friendly too, which is a nice touch.

I had the chef's tasting menu, and it was simply amazing! The creative combinations and quality of ingredients truly stood out, making it a memorable meal.

Great spot near Kelvingrove. We popped in after the museum. The outdoor area was lovely in the sun, and they had no trouble seating our group of six. Handy for that part of town.

The staff here know all the regulars by name, which is a really nice touch. Makes the place feel cosy.

The homemade soups are really good. I got the chicken noodle and it was a huge bowl, very filling. For the price, you get a lot. The place is clean too.

The mocha was fantastic, honestly one of the best I've had. Grabbed a slice of their banana bread from the counter too, really hit the spot for a quick bite. Perfect for a fast coffee stop.

The staff were really on it, and the portable ramp for wheelchairs was a thoughtful touch. Food was great too.

The French onion soup was rich and deeply savoury. The crème brûlée had a perfect crack to the sugar top.

Been coming here for years. The staff are always polite and the service is consistently good.
