Been coming here for years, and the terrace by the river is still my go-to. Love watching the boats go past. They always have blankets ready when it gets a bit chilly, which is a nice touch.

Service was spot on. Our waiter knew the menu inside out and suggested a wine that went perfectly with my steak. Never felt rushed, but they were there when you needed them. Just right.

As a coeliac, I'm always scanning menus. They had a solid gluten-free section, which is a relief. I went for the GF pasta with mushrooms. It was cooked properly, not mushy like some places. Portion was decent too. Makes a change from just having a salad option.

The salmon starter from the tandoor was lovely, really tender. It came out just warm, not hot, which was a bit of a shame. Still, the flavour was spot on.

Tuesday special is a solid deal - pizza and a drink for a tenner. The pizza from the wood oven was spot on, and the cheesecake was a good way to end it.

The local ales here are spot on. Good value for the quality, and they're on the Cask Marque trail for a reason.

The brewery tour with Max was pretty good. He clearly knows his stuff and the tasting was decent. Just wish it had been a bit longer.

Lovely little local pub, perfect for catching up with mates. The vibe is super cosy, and the food is way better than you'd expect for the price. We had the fish and chips and it was spot on. Will definitely be back for more casual drinks!

Popped in for an early dinner. The garlic bread on a pizza base was a nice surprise, really enjoyed that. Service was quick and friendly, which made it a very relaxed visit. Just a comfortable spot for a quiet meal.

The lamb vindaloo was the standout. Rich, deep flavours, and the heat level was spot on. The lamb itself was tender, falling apart easily. The korma was fine, but the vindaloo is what I'd come back for.

The steak and ale pie was the star. So much tender beef, and the pastry was perfectly crisp. We sat by the fireplace, which made it all feel so cozy and warm. A really lovely spot for a quiet dinner.

Lunch in the covered courtyard was the best part. The heaters kept it perfectly cosy even though it was a bit grey out. Food was solid, but honestly, I just wanted to sit there all afternoon.

The £30 spa credit included with the stay was a nice touch. It helped offset the cost of our dinner, which made the whole evening feel a bit more relaxed. A thoughtful perk for guests.

Coffee was spot on, and the staff were really friendly. The place feels a bit tired though, could do with a freshen up. Still, a solid spot for a brew.

As a coeliac, I feel totally safe eating here. The gluten-free menu is reliable, and my friends love it too. A solid spot for a casual catch-up.

The staff were great with my food allergy. They checked with the chef and explained everything. Felt safe ordering. Quick and considerate service during a busy lunch.

Lovely spot for a proper sit-down meal, the atmosphere is really warm. But honestly, their takeaway is what keeps me coming back. Always ready exactly when they say, and it's still piping hot by the time I get home. That's rare.

Been coming here for years. It's my go-to when the weather turns - just duck in, grab a table, and they keep the hot tea coming. That's what keeps me coming back.

The halloumi was so good, and the beer garden is a lovely spot for a sunny day.

The hot pasties are the real deal here. Flaky, buttery pastry, packed with a proper meat and veg filling. Grabbed one at the bar with a pint. That's a solid lunch right there.

Had a nice evening here. The pizza was pretty good, with a decent crust, and the calamari was fine. Service was friendly, though things got a bit slow later on. A solid spot for a casual meal.

Breakfast here is a good value for the town centre. The staff are always friendly, which makes it a comfortable spot.

Angus at the bar was lovely. I always appreciate the fresh ingredients here, especially in the Blue Lagoon. You can really taste the quality. It's a nice, reliable spot for a thoughtful drink.
