Been here a few times now, always get the chicken tikka masala. It’s just consistently good. Staff are friendly and quick, which is nice. Place is clean, no complaints really.

Proper old pub at the top of Cheap Street. Had a pint here, really liked the local vibe. Place is spotless and feels well-run. Just a solid, no-fuss spot.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially when the place got busy. They took the time to walk me through the wine list, which made choosing a bottle to go with our mains much easier. Service was spot on.

The full breakfast here was spot on, exactly what you'd want. I was really pleased to see a decent selection of craft beers on tap, which paired nicely with the hearty food. If you're in Barry Island, it's worth heading over.

Love bringing my friends here. Staff are always so friendly, and the coffee's spot on for a catch-up.

Popped in for a late dinner. The grilled sea bass was spot on, and the staff suggested a lovely white wine that complemented it beautifully. The garden area is much nicer now, perfect for a relaxed evening. A solid choice for a casual meal.

The food is always reliable. I really like their outdoor seating by the river on a nice day. It's just a very comfortable spot to enjoy a meal, the chairs are quite good for a long sit. Service is friendly and makes everything easy.

Staff were very friendly, especially with our dog. The chef even came out to greet him personally. Service was prompt and efficient. Good spot for a quick, relaxed lunch.

Booked for a birthday, and the steak fajitas sizzler was spot on. Arrived quickly too, which was a lifesaver.

First time here and the vegan options really stood out. The seitan burger was actually satisfying, not just a token veggie patty. Nice to see a place that puts some thought into it.

Dan was a great server, really attentive without being overbearing. He knew the menu well and gave honest advice on portion sizes, which helped us order just right. The food came out quickly too. Good service makes a meal feel like better value.

Been coming here for years, and the breakfast never disappoints. The eggs are always cooked just right, and the coffee is consistently strong and hot. It's that kind of reliable quality that keeps me coming back.

Decent home-cooked food, generous portions for the price. The wine list was basic but had a solid house red that went well with the hearty mains. Good for a casual, filling meal.

Been coming here for years. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Just be prepared to wait a bit at the bar if it's really busy. That's the only thing, really.

Been coming here for years. It’s a proper local, and they’re always welcoming to dogs. Tried the sea bass off the specials board last night – cooked just right, simple and fresh. That’s what keeps me coming back.

The keema madras here is a proper find, can't get it like this anywhere nearby. They were sound about swapping the rice for naan too. Bit of a wait, but worth it.

Mixed grill and fish and chips were both spot on. The portion for the mixed grill was huge, easily enough for two. Fish and chips portion was decent too. Good value for the price you pay.

The roast was fantastic, and their wine list had some really nice pairings to go with it. Staff were very helpful too.

The honey chilli chicken was so tender! We ended up with leftovers, which was perfect for a lazy next-day lunch with my flatmate.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The fish finger sandwich was spot on, and the homemade chips were proper crispy. The garlic bread was a whole baguette for a fiver, which is decent.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is truly lovely, making it a perfect spot for celebrations. The staff were amazing and the food was perfection!

The pub has a great historic feel, really adds to the experience. Sat by the old fireplace with a pint of their Abbot Ale, which was spot on. Just a nice, relaxed place for a drink.

Nice pub for a pint. The landlady is lovely, really makes you feel at home. Beautiful old building too.

Lovely cozy spot. I really appreciated the selection of local ciders. You could tell they were fresh and not overly processed. The one I tried had a crisp, clean taste. A nice place for a quiet drink.

Standard Spoons, but the rooftop garden is a real bonus. Sat up there for a couple of hours with a burger and a pint. It's a bit of a sun trap, really pleasant spot to unwind.

The cocktails were the real star for me. I tried their signature 'Smoky Negroni' and the balance was spot on - not too bitter, with a really nice herbal finish. Great vibe for a Friday night with mates. 🍸

The steak was cooked just right, which was lovely. I also appreciated the comfortable booths - made for a relaxed, no-fuss meal. Prices are fair for what you get.

Busy when we arrived, but service was efficient. Food came out in about 20 minutes. The steak and ale pie was solid, good portion for the price. A reliable option for a straightforward meal.
