The cheese dessert came with a proper explanation, which I appreciated. Sat at the round table near the wine cabinet—nice spot. Service felt well-rehearsed, maybe a touch formal for my taste.

The staff were lovely, really attentive without hovering. My pasta was solid, though the salad was nothing special. They paired a nice glass of wine with it, which made the meal better.

Stopped here after getting off the train—so convenient. I had the polenta dish and honestly, the texture was spot on. You can tell they use good ingredients, nothing overly complicated. Prices felt fair for the quality. Service was friendly, not hovering. A solid spot if you're in the area and want something simple and fresh.

The tagliata here was honestly the best I've had in a long time. Cooked perfectly, still pink inside, and the seasoning was just right. I went for lunch on a weekday and it wasn't too busy. Only thing is the portions are a bit small for the price, but the flavour made up for it.

The grilled octopus was the standout — tender, smoky, not rubbery at all. Wine list is solid too. Place gets busy but the noise stays bearable. Nothing fancy, just a dependable spot for a casual dinner.

The risotto al merlot really hit the spot—creamy, rich, and cooked just right. Sat outside by the square, which was lovely for people-watching. Only hiccup was asking about gluten-free options; staff seemed a bit unsure. Not a big deal for me, but worth knowing if you have dietary stuff. Would come back for that risotto though.

Came for dinner, the burger was properly juicy and the bun held up well. Staff knew when to step back, which I appreciate. Nice lake view from the table. My wine was a bit warm though, could've been kept cooler. Solid spot if you're in the area and want something easy.

Stopped by for a drink after wandering around Ascona—such a prime spot for people-watching. Cocktails were solid, nothing mind-blowing, but the vibe was right. Service was friendly and quick, even when it got busier later. Good place to kick off a night out with friends, for sure. Maybe not a destination itself, but it works.

Stopped by for lunch and the place has that warm, casual vibe. Portions are really generous, food came out looking fresh and neat. Sat near the window, chairs were comfy enough to linger a bit. Service was friendly without hovering. Nothing fancy, but it does the job for a relaxed meal.

Stopped in for a beer after a hike and the tapas turned out to be the real highlight. Friendly service too. Nice little find.

The linguine with shrimp was fresh and the red sauce had real flavor. Letizia and Daniela took care of us the whole night, super friendly. Great spot to come with friends, the view alone is worth it 🌊

Popped in for a late lunch and grabbed a seat at the bar. The carbonara was solid—creamy without being heavy, and the portion was plenty. I had a glass of the house red with it, which worked better than I expected. It's tucked away from the main tourist drag, so it felt more like a local spot. Service was fine, nothing fancy, but I wasn't in a rush.

Stopped by for a cappuccino and a pastry—both were decent, pretty good quality. Location’s super handy, just a short walk from the main square. Prices are a bit steep for Lugano, but you’re paying for the spot. Fine for a quick break if you’re nearby.

The mixed grill platter was a proper feast, plus it came with a starter and a bottle of wine. Service was spot on too. Good spot for a catch-up with friends 🙌

The salad dressing tasted like it was made that morning, not from a bottle. Main courses had that homemade feel, nothing greasy or heavy. Portions were fair for the price. I'd come back just for the pasta.

Pizza was solid and cheap, and the terrace is a nice spot to people-watch. Road noise is a bit much, but for a quick bite in Lugano it does the job. A cold beer helped.

Grabbed a few slices for lunch. Pizza held up well, even reheated some later at home. Still tasted good. Quick and easy, no fuss. If you're in the area and want a fast bite, this works.

Came here for a birthday dinner and honestly left impressed. The tasting menu had a few surprises I didn’t expect, and the chef actually stopped by our table for a quick chat. That felt personal, not staged. Only downside: pacing was a bit slow between courses. But the food itself carried the night. Would come back for a quieter weekday visit.

The vegan burger was actually decent, not dry like most places. They had tiramisu too, which I didn't expect. Prices are what you'd pay anywhere in Switzerland, so no complaints there. Service was a bit slow but the food came out fresh. I'd go back if I'm in the area again.

The view really is the main reason to come here. Staff were attentive without hovering, which I appreciated. Breakfast was solid, plenty of options. Dinner menu felt a bit limited if you're staying more than a couple nights, but that's a minor thing. I'd come back for the setting alone.

Stopped by for a quick bite. Brioche was solid, hit the spot. Service was fast and friendly, no complaints there. Place is clean and easy to find on the main road. Parking's a bit of a pain though. Fine if you're in a hurry and just need something decent.

This restaurant not only serves delicious food but also has a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family.

Loved the open kitchen setup—watching the chefs work was the best part. Just don’t sit too close to the grill, it gets pretty warm.

Great spot right on the plaza—we grabbed pasta and dessert, both solid. Service was friendly but timing felt a bit off when we showed up around 5. Slightly pricey, but good for a catch-up with friends 🙂

Came for the Aperol Spritz and pizza—both were solid. Sat outside by the lake, which was nice, though the cars passing by did get a bit loud. Service was friendly enough. I'd go back for the view alone, honestly. Just maybe bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise.

Came here on a whim and the vibe really got me—young crowd, music was on point. Staff didn’t hover but were there when you needed them. Drinks came out fast, which I appreciated. Not a mind-blowing spot, but solid for a casual night out. Maybe a bit loud if you want deep conversation, but I’d go again.

Solid lunch spot off the main streets. Mostly locals, which says enough. Had the Plat du Jour — decent portion, no complaints. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot. Prices fair for what you get. Wouldn't cross town for it, but if you're nearby, it's a safe bet.

The saffron risotto was spot on, creamy and rich. Ossobucco fell right off the bone too. Minestrone was a nice light start. Service was quick and friendly, which made it easy to just chill with friends for a while. Cozy little spot, felt very rustic. Only thing is it got a bit loud later, but we didn't really mind.
