This restaurant was just outside the city walls so felt more like a lovely neighbourhood restaurant than a touristy one. The staff were lovely, strong English and explained various dishes on a menu that was varied and more inventive than alot of the restaurants we have been to in the old city. The food was superb, reasonably priced and special mention to the lemon and raspberry tirimisu....delicious!

Seven of us went to celebrate my 50th birthday and the restaurant staff was so friendly and accommodating. We called to let them know that we were running around 15 minutes late from our reservation time and they said that was okay. They offer a variety of pizzas, as well as seafood, steak, and pasta dishes. Everything was delicious, especially the Nutella tart they brought out at the end of dinner with a candle. The local white wine was excellent too. I have always dreamed of coming to Italy and my dream came true for my 50th birthday. Thank you to Da Gianni Ristorante for being a part of my dream coming true with a wonderful birthday dinner and celebration!

The octopus puccia was the star. Tender, perfectly seasoned, and the bread was just right. It’s a local specialty done well. Prices are fair, which is a nice change. A solid, unpretentious meal.

This is the best seafood restaurant I have visited in years - tasting menu was superb and the wine pairs were very well consider - finally the desert finished me off - awesome

Solid lunch spot. Had the lunch special pasta, portion was generous. Service was prompt. For the price point, it's a reliable option.

The meter-long pizza is a good sharing option. Thin crust, decent rise. Toppings were varied enough to keep it interesting for our table of six.

Been coming here for years. The garden out back is always so peaceful, especially on a summer evening. It's the main reason I keep coming back.

Nice spot for a business lunch. The jazz and bossanova background music is a plus, creates a relaxed vibe without being intrusive. Service was prompt.

We had a wonderful meal tonight. Started with Capres salad. Then we shared the swordfish and linguine with seafood. All delicious. Seafood is extremely fresh and well prepared. Great meal and great wine.

This place is in an old building with frescoes on the ceiling. Sat in the courtyard for lunch and it was really nice. Just a peaceful spot to eat.

Service was warm. Waitress was attentive. Noticed our glasses were empty, refilled them quickly. Felt well taken care of. 👍

Their own olive oil is fantastic. You can really taste the difference it makes, especially on the simple bread they bring out. It’s got this nice, peppery finish that just works.

Nice spot right by the water. The view was the real highlight for me. Had a simple pasta, nothing fancy, but it was good. Service was friendly and quick. A solid choice for the location.

Cozy family-run spot. I appreciate how fresh the ingredients are in their salads. The greens were crisp, and the tomatoes tasted like they were just picked. A simple, wholesome meal.

The rabbit ragù pasta was incredible. So rich and hearty, with these little tender pieces of rabbit that just melted. I kept thinking about it for days. The octopus was good too, but that pasta stole the show for me.

The sandwiches and piadinas are the real stars here, honestly. I had the porchetta piadina today and it was fantastic. The crust was perfectly crisp. Pizza's great, but don't sleep on these.

Been coming here for years, and I keep coming back for the vegan menu. It's always solid. The staff remembered my usual order last time, which was nice.

The fava bean and chicory puree was lovely, really fresh. It set a nice tone for the meal. The tables are a bit close together though, which made it feel a little crowded. Still, a pleasant spot for a quiet dinner.

Family-run place, nice for a drink at sunset. The Prosecco is a good price. Had a pizza, it was tasty and didn't cost much. Simple, relaxed spot.

The food here is exceptional, especially the grilled meats and pizzas. The service is attentive, and the outdoor seating is perfect for enjoying a meal in the summer.

The food here is simply delicious, with a focus on traditional dishes that highlight local flavors. The welcoming environment and attentive service make it a must-visit.

Been coming here for years. The octopus sandwich is the real deal, perfectly grilled. Sure, it's a bit pricey, but you're paying for that sea view. Solid choice for a simple lunch.

charming locaton. decent food. Quick and freindly service. very reasonable prices. every visit the experience is a good one so that's why we return !

We’re OG Italians living in the US, foodies and lived and travelled the world, we know food. This is one of the best experiences we’ve had so far ever in the world. Worth a star for food, ambience and service. We came back twice in 5 days! There’s no shortage of good food in and around Gallipoli but the location, ambience and service at Lazzaro makes it exceptional. We starter with a wonderful aperitivo on the rooftop (strikingly beautiful and well decorated), followed by dinner in the stylish dining room on the ground floor. Chef knows what he’s doing. Everything on the menu is fresh and worth a try. From crudo di mare (elevated by presentation and subtle dressings), to amazing yet light pasta dishes, to a sublime stuffed calamaro. The gem is their pizza. We tried Ambra the first time and one with nduja and spicy sausage the second time. The well crafted dish description cannot make justice to what you are going to eat once presented with the dishes. Pizza is light, not loaded, yet so flavoursome. Michelin-level everything! Well done to the staff and chef. We can’t wait to be back.

Friendly and helpful staff helped navigate the menu. Food and wine were very good. Good ambience with groups of diners of all ages

Had a quiet dinner here last night. The music was just right, not too loud. I really noticed how fresh the greens in my salad were - crisp and vibrant. A nice spot to slow down after a long day.
