It was a nice dinner, the food was great and at that time the restaurant wasn&#39;t full and the service was excellent!

We had to try Florentine steak while we were in Tuscany and la mandragola did not disappoint.  The large steak was severed on a hot cast iron plate and to be shared for 2 or more persons.  The steak was moist and tender.

This lovely restaurant is nestled in an old palazzo on the side of a hill overlooking Florence. Everything about Trattoria La Gargotta was perfect &ndash; excellent service, relaxing jazz music, truly delicious food, and an ambience thoughtfully designed to enjoy a spectacular meal. Thanks for a relaxing evening; we&rsquo;ll return for sure.

This place is a hidden gem! The quality of the food is excellent, and the view is breathtaking. It&#39;s a great choice for a romantic dinner or a special occasion.

Amazing food. A bit heavy but really good taste.The environment instead may be better especially the separation between the kitchen and the tables.

The Eremita features a small but varied menu with delicious dishes, especially the pork fillet with chestnut honey. The customization options for side dishes are a nice touch.

Small local establishment with excellent service. The food was well prepared and well portioned. The crostini was notable in terms of variety and freshness. The house wine was a small disappointment, but overall a good choice for dinner.

We found this restaurant after reading the reviews on The Fork and it didn&rsquo;t disappoint. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and really affordable and we had a lovely meal : )

Fabulous little restaurant. Warm and welcoming staff. Superb wine and craft beers. Delicious home made breads and the pasta was all home made and fantastic. We had the fish ravioli with prawns and courgette and the tuna pasta. We also had cheesecake with red fruits and semi freddo with cantucci. Both desserts were beautiful. We were very happy with this wonderful little place ????

The location is perfect, with a beautiful view and a cozy atmosphere. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great dining experience!

If you want quality food, relaxed environment, and superb service, make a res at il desco!! Off the beaten path, this gem offers amazing steaks, minestrone and pasta with shaved truffle. The house wine is beautiful and prices are reasonable. We Always return and are greeted by familiar wait staff!! ????

Great service, loved the bistecca and truffle pasta.Just remember to show the server your discount if you have one so they can apply to the final bill.

Service was exceptional. Great help selecting a wine based on our input.  Although it&rsquo;s primarily a steakhouse The ravioli was the best we have had in Italy.

The atmosphere is truly unique and undoubtedly the venue&#39;s greatest strength, making it perfect for creating unforgettable memories on special occasions.

One of the Top Must-Visit Restaurants in Florence

Enjoyed our experience here and went back a second night.  Was in a perfect location near our hotel.  The staff were lovely, helping with menu choices and the food great.  The Fork discount was applied both nights and really helped too!

We&rsquo;re staying in Florence for a month and are more than half way through our stay.  Alfredo&rsquo;s served by far the best meal we have had in Florence.  My wife and I shared a caprese salad that was plenty for two, and we each had fettuccine Alfredo for our main course.  The pasta and sauce were fresh and delicious.  We ended our meal with the strawberry tart.We will definitely return for another meal before we leave Florence!
