Gaucho - Birmingham

Food was very tasty, especially salmon tacos. I had a feeling to return next day to order them again. Had to move my booking 30 minutes before it to a later time without any problems. After ordering only 1 main for 2 people, as steak portion was big for me alone, waiter returned with offer of complimentary side. Seemed nice if my partner didn’t joke about reason for that - us being poor students and not able to afford dining. It left mixed feelings. During table cleaning sauce dish was overturned leaving sauce stain on the table where after was put the bill. Minor thing on the way of brilliant kitchen work. I will happily return to try more.

We had the most amazing date night treat by going to this place. Matt, our server was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs.We treated ourselves to chateaubriand sharer main which was freshly grilled to our medium requirement, tasted amazing and literally melted in your mouth, it was that tender.We visited on a Saturday night and even though the venue was very busy, our food was served within acceptable timescales.Lovely surroundings too.It was our first ever visit to a Gaucho restaurant. The menu offered a good variety of choice, whilst not being too extensive.I’m sure we will return to try other delights on their menu.

The decor was excellent and I tend to gauge a place by the toilets. As soon as you enter into the corridor to the toilet, the wonderful smell reaches your senses unlike so many that have a horrible smell. This was so sweet and lovely and the toilet themselves were out of this world. This is a reflection on the care that has gone into the planning of this restaurant and the food equaled to the ambience & more so. If I live near, I would definitely return and can hardly recommend this restaurant. The manager was very amenable and friendly – he runs a very good ship !

came here new years day after flying from Barcelona so we were hungry! my partner is from Mendoza Argentina and he was excited haha, we weren't disappointed. we had a great discount thanks to the fork but the food was definitely worth their full price. the steak was so soft and tasty, the truffle potatoes and mash were incredible and the wine was lovely. our server TIA was fantastic, I've done the job many years and she was helpful with being pushy, I don't know of you give incentives for staff but she was great! also the door host was lovely! will definitely return next time in the UK, thank you.

we were served by Dom who was very friendly and attentive, overall the service was one of the best experiences I have had in a restaurant. cannot fault it at all.
