The horse mackerel sashimi here is so fresh. I loved trying it side-by-side with their sea bream soy sauce—the flavors were really different! A nice, generous portion too.

The Japanese curry was good, and the house red wine paired surprisingly well with it. A solid choice for a casual dinner.

Tiramisu pancakes are a must-try. Found the cappuccino ice cream hidden inside the cream. Flavor balance was spot on. Perfect for a quick, satisfying bite when you're in a hurry.

The set menu for five was a good deal, plenty of food for everyone. The variety of meats and sides was nice. The seating was quite comfortable, which made the long meal relaxing.

The lighting was a bit dim for some, but it set the perfect mood for my wine. Very authentic Italian vibe.

Cash only, so be prepared. The parking lot on the east side saved us a lot of hassle. Food was solid, just what we needed after a long drive.

The Bungo beef was so tender, you could tell it was fresh. I appreciated that it wasn't overly seasoned. The garlic fried rice was a nice, simple complement. A very satisfying meal focusing on quality ingredients.

A decent little noodle spot. The pork ramen was pretty good, though the menu is a bit limited.

Cozy spot, feels like stepping back in time. Staff were really nice and patient with my English. The katsu curry was good, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. Still, a pleasant lunch.

The fugu sashimi here was incredibly fresh. The texture was firm, with a subtle sweetness. The chef's knife work was precise, each slice was perfect. It's a bit pricey, but the quality justifies it.

I like the old-school paper order slips here. It's more fun than just tapping a screen. The sushi itself was fresh, especially the salmon nigiri. A solid conveyor belt spot.

The mapo tofu was just right with the spice. Had it with a bowl of rice, and the whole thing was really comforting. The place itself is pretty cozy, which made it a nice, relaxed meal.

Managed a last-minute booking, which was lucky. The place was buzzing, but our corner table felt like a quiet little bubble. Just the right kind of energy.

Been coming here for years. The upstairs location behind that old wooden door gives it a quiet, classic feel. Ordering on the English tablet is easy. Food's always solid.

Nice quiet spot, good for a date or just a chill meal. The vibe is pretty elegant, not loud at all. Had the grilled salmon, it was simple but cooked well. A bit on the pricier side, but you're paying for the calm, I guess.

As a wine lover, I was curious about their soy-based patty. Paired it with a light red, and it actually worked. The lettuce wrap was a nice touch for my gluten-free friend. Good to see thoughtful options.

Tried the Jigoku ramen. The spicy miso broth was good, definitely warming. Portion size was decent, plenty of veggies and a good amount of char siu. For the price point, it felt like a fair deal.

Love the old-school vibe here, feels like stepping back in time. The wooden booths and vintage posters are so cool. A real neighborhood spot, not some generic chain.

Found this spot in Yufuin while looking for a quick lunch. Menu clearly marks vegan options, which is helpful. Got the kabosu drink - really refreshing for a hot day. Staff were nice about it. Good for a quick bite when you're in a hurry.

Tried the pudding dorayaki with friends. The filling is so smooth, not too sweet. That hint of caramel goes perfectly with the soft pancake. We ended up ordering a second one to share!

The English menu made ordering easy. Staff were friendly and patient with our questions. I had the grilled fish, and the sommelier suggested a crisp white wine that paired beautifully. A bit on the pricier side, but the drink recommendation was spot-on.
