The chicken katsu set was good. The batter stayed crispy, and the meat was tender. The toriten was fine, but the portion felt a bit small for the price.

The owner is so friendly, makes you feel right at home. The English menu was a nice touch, saved me from struggling with translations. Just a comfortable spot for a quiet meal.

Got a counter seat without booking. The Saganoseki horse mackerel sashimi was incredible, texture and flavor were spot on.

The tail soup was so flavorful. Perfect for a quick lunch. Got it with a side of rice, hit the spot. Service was fast, in and out in 30 mins. Just what I needed.

The Ryukyu Bowl was so generous with the local fish. Really enjoyed the variety and textures. Chef knows his Oita seafood. Left feeling very satisfied.

The kabosu juice highball was a nice local touch. Menu's got a lot of Oita specialties to choose from.

The hospitality at this restaurant is exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time, making it a perfect place for special occasions.

Evening visit. Izakaya style, small seating charge comes with otoshi. Toriten was the star. Quality chicken, light crispy batter. Really good.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They have an English menu and some servers speak English, which made ordering straightforward. It was a decent experience overall.

The tempura soba and udon set was pretty good, a decent portion for the price. The toriten was also nice, crispy and not too heavy. A fine spot for a quick, simple lunch.

The all-you-can-eat and drink course was perfect for our big team dinner. Staff kept the drinks coming without us having to ask.

Waited about 20 mins on a weekday. Not bad for a popular spot. Got my chicken katsu curry quickly after being seated. Exactly what I needed for a quick lunch.

Stopped by after a walk. The croissant sandwich was good, but what really stood out was the freshness of the ingredients. The greens in it were so crisp and vibrant. A nice, simple spot for a light bite.

Chicken tempura set for lunch. Tempura was crispy, chicken tender. Went well with the cold noodle broth. Quick service, good for a fast bite.

English menu was a plus. Staff were friendly and helpful, made ordering easy. The food was decent, nothing too fancy but pretty good. A solid choice if you're in the area and looking for a straightforward meal.

The fugu course was a nice way to try it. Sashimi, then fried, then hot pot. The little glass of fugu fin sake was a quiet surprise. Felt like a proper local meal.

The tonkatsu was good, tender inside with a nice crunch. It's definitely a step up from the fast-food kind. The portion felt a bit small for the price, though.

The cold noodles here are so refreshing! Perfect after a hot spring day. We shared a few grilled meats and the combo was just right for a casual dinner with friends. The vibe is chill and not too loud.

The chef's international training is clear in the fusion dishes. But for the price point, I expected a bit more generous portions. The flavors were skilled, just left wanting a little more on the plate.

Just walked in for lunch. The old house is really nice, quiet and peaceful. Had a simple meal here, felt relaxed.

Been coming here for years. The menu doesn't change much, but that's fine. You always get a big, solid plate of food. It's just reliable.

Been coming here for years. Their wagyu set still melts in your mouth, and the price hasn't changed much.

Been coming here for years, and the counter seats are still my favorite. Watching them prepare each dish right in front of you never gets old.

The staff here is so warm and polite. I appreciate how they try to accommodate walk-ins even when it's busy. A reservation is definitely needed though, as they're often fully booked.

Cozy spot, feels like a private kitchen. The food is unpretentious but you can tell the chefs put care into it. Had the grilled fish, it was pretty good, cooked just right. A bit on the quiet side, but fine for a relaxed dinner.

Been coming here for years. The portions are still big and the price is fair. You get a lot for what you pay.

Called ahead and got a table. The place was packed, even on a weekday. Had the grilled fish, simple but good. Glad we didn't just walk in.
