We had dinner for two on Sunday 22nd May in the terrace. The restaurant staff were super nice and food was very good. Ambience outside was very nice as well

Kalypta is a hidden gem in Leuven with a vibrant atmosphere and great music. The food is not only tasty but also beautifully presented, making it a wonderful dining experience.

Oysters and Wagyu carpaccio were spot on, but the Holstein steak really stole it for me. Owner checked in on us a couple times, nice touch. Crepes Suzette for dessert, proper way to end.

Nice spot on the terrace by the abbey ponds. Food&#39;s okay, standard brasserie stuff. Bit pricey for what you get, but the setting makes up for it.

Solid burgers and the ribs were properly juicy. Malbec from Argentina went way better with the food than I expected for this part of town. Place feels like a real upgrade from before.

Reasonable prices and a big menu of Belgian classics. Staff were friendly and we got our food quick. Solid spot for a filling lunch.

Stopped by for a kriek and honestly the selection is solid. Had the framboise, it was fresh and not too sweet. Place gets a bit loud later in the evening though. Fine if you just want a quiet beer earlier.

The terrace faces the square, that&rsquo;s the main draw. Had a beer, sat there watching people. Drink was cold, nothing fancy. Staff left me alone mostly, which was fine. Good enough for a quick stop if you&rsquo;re nearby and want a seat outside.

Food&rsquo;s always on point and the staff actually remember us now. Kinda makes it our go-to spot with the girls.

The prawn tagine really stood out for me. Prawns were big and tasted properly fresh, not the frozen kind. Sauce had good depth too. I&#39;ve been back a few times now and it&#39;s stayed consistent each visit. That matters to me because I&#39;m picky about seafood quality. Just wish they&#39;d give a bit more bread with it.

Nice spot for a glass of wine. Had the Vignato bubbles on the terrace&mdash;good pick for a warm evening. Staff were friendly, nothing fancy but solid.

Great spot near the church. Their lambic selection is seriously good, and the gueuze paired nicely with a quiet afternoon. Service stayed friendly even when it got busy.

Stumbled onto this place in a little alley and honestly the service felt way too formal for a casual dinner with friends 😅 Food was solid though. Desserts were kinda meh, nothing exciting. I&#39;d come back for the main dishes but maybe skip the sweets. Good spot if you&#39;re in the area and want something decent without the tourist crowds.

Stopped by for a coffee and a pastry &mdash; the corner spot is easy to miss but the apothecary vibe inside is really something. Had the pistachio cake, it was moist without being too sweet. Coffee was solid too. Place was a bit busy around noon, took a few minutes to get served. Still, I&#39;d come back for the quiet corner seat.

Reasonable prices for what you get, especially by Leuven standards. Dark interior feels better at night though&mdash;daytime it&#39;s a bit flat.

Ducked in here during a busy afternoon near Grand Place. Had the duck fillet with pepper sauce &mdash; cooked right, sauce had a nice kick. Staff swapped a risotto for a veggie friend without fuss. Bill ran a bit high for what it was, but the food came out fast and that saved me. Solid quick stop if you&#39;re in the area.

The restaurant has a charming atmosphere with a fireplace and an aquarium, creating a warm and inviting space. The food was fresh and tasty, and the prices were very reasonable.

I visited this restaurant twice and may just have a final visit tomorrow, before heading home. The restaurant has a beautiful feel and everyone is greeted warmly by the friendly staff. 
visit 1, I had the beef stew!!! 10/10 Visit 2 I had the muscles in Garlic and White wine sauce again 10/10... the portion size was huge, and really enough for 2 people, but I finished it all!!!  Costa is amazing at what he does, very friendly, and made sure I was ok during both my visits.

Been coming here for a while now. Drinks stay consistent even when the place is packed, which is rare. Service gets a bit slow on busy nights, but the cocktails are worth it.

Steak was decent, pizza pretty good too. Place felt clean, which I always appreciate. Nothing fancy but it hit the spot for a quick bite. Kinda wish the steak had more seasoning though. Fine for what it is.

The cheese omelette was like a little souffl&eacute;, honestly so good for something so simple. Nice to find a chill spot that doesn&#39;t feel totally touristy.

The oysters were really fresh and tasty. Place gets busy so they do run out sometimes&mdash;we got lucky though. Worth grabbing if you see them on the menu.
