Been coming here for years. The bacon and venison pie is always solid, proper hearty stuff. Even the cabbage on the side has some thought behind it. You can tell they don&#39;t just chuck things on a plate.

I took a friend to the Toby Carvery in Redhill for the first time.  While we were waiting to be given a table, the first thing we heard was a lady behind the bar angrily shouting at the restaurant staff:  &quot;What&#39;s the point of me being behind the bar and training you if you don&#39;t let me train?  I might as well go home.&quot;   This was very unprofessional and not a little embarrassing for us to hear.  My friend was not impressed. However, once seated, the carvery food was great.   Special mention to our waitress, Alex, who was lovely: very friendly and chatty.   We wish you well, Alex - you&#39;ll go far!!

The staff here are just so lovely. Had a great chat with the bartender while trying a couple of their local craft beers. Really made the evening. The food was also spot on.
