Stranded overnight at the airport due to a cancelled flight, we didn&rsquo;t rate our chances of getting a good meal very highly. After a bit of Googling we came across Commune and although not expecting too much we were delighted to find that the food was delicious and the service quick and pleasant. The restaurant feels very open and the airport is literally the other side of the glass, but what it lacked in atmosphere it more than made up for in food and service. I wouldn&rsquo;t hesitate to recommend.

Lovely time spent in this quaint out of the huzzel and buzzel.Found a gem open in a Sunday and last minute. Device authentic food, excellent service. Responsibly priced, delicious wine 🍷. A bit pricey on the wine size all above euro27+All in all fantastic well done to team there

Great atmosphere, very calm and relaxed place, awesome food and great service. And in the end an honest price. I had a steak that was really perfectly cooked. I think this will be my preferred restaurant for a couple of weeks

As always,the food and drinks were very yummy, and the staff was friendly and helpful.I always have a hard time choosing, because everything on the menu looks so good :)

Friendly conservatory-style restaurant in a quiet part of Hoofddorp with free parking right outside the door. View over a lake and green surroundings. More tables available on the terrace in nice weather. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food very good (I had the soup of the day which was carrot and coconut, zeebaars en papilotte) and nicely presented although menu is not extensive and was the same as on my previous visit about a month ago. I ate with a friend and paid &euro;100 including tip for bread, starter, main course, coffee/tea and two soft drinks each.

The location is great kids can play on the beach, parents can enjoy a nice cocktail. The view is fantastic. The food is nice d the service is good

The food was delicious, the waitstaff delightful. The owner was there and asked how we enjoyed the meal. This was our best dining experience in Holland.

Good food and location next to the pier is beautiful. We ordered some tapas, like garlic gambas, potatoes, lamb with yogurt sauce and eggplant, hummus etc.

Service was excellent. Very friendly and clear.We assumed a carpaccio xl alternative to regular carpaccio meant the regular was small. But the xxl carpaccio was actually huge! Good quality meat, seemed freshly grinded of a block onsite. Properly furnished low on cheese and balsamic but allot of roasted seeds. Very good!Vitello tonato was served on toast. If the portion was doubled it would be good for a lunch option. For dinner starters its too small. Quality was excellent! Toast complemented the veal and thick tuna cut well. Entrecote was clearly a decent cut, well prepared and tastefull. Alongside minimal additions to our amazement. Waiter declared a 5 euro survharge on top of menu price if a fork discount was applied due to the sise of the dish. We accepted but serving was small. Other dishes also had a surcharge making a 50% discount a 30% discount.

Thank you for the great welcome in such difficult times. It is an Amazing place, friendly staff and delicious food! We will definitely come back.

Excellent food &amp; staff. The location is vey nice too. As a guest you get all the attention you need. If you are in the neighborhood don&#39;t forget to pay them a visit!

A superb 5 course menu on Christmas day. The staff were excellent and very friendly. Would 100% recommend and will hopefully return some day in the future.

Great food, attentive service, classy and warm atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the bread and our desserts. We had a lovely evening and were impressed by the &ldquo;Milkmaid&rdquo; barista on the wall!

I highly recommend this place for its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere; the salmon was particularly outstanding!

Eating at Sham has been a very, very pleasant experience.  The food is fresh, dishes are prepared at the moment and the contain an unexpected variety of vegetables, and herbs. Delicious sauces and flat bread accompany the courses, which are tasty and filling. The chef is very kind and tells you all about preparation and ingredients. A nice truly Syryan cuisine experience and a vegetarian paradise.

They have decorated our table with balloons as it was my birthday and they were very kind to gift a tiramisu with a candle :) Menu had many Italian and Argentine food alternatives. Penne al pesto and Lasagne were ok but pizza was great.50% discount doesn&#39;t work with beginners but only for main dishes.Serving lady was very nice :)

I&#39;m a white guy who&#39;s lived in China and who&#39;s enjoyed fantastic food there. Amber Garden is unique. With flawless execution and attention to detail, they take the basics of traditional Chinese cuisine (drawing on influences from Cantonese, Sichuan and other local cuisines) and combine it with high-end ingredients from outside China (such as wagyu or Iberico pork) to create a mindblowing experience. Simply top notch.

We had a lovely table outside while eating a lovely dinner we watched the Amsterdam world go by which made the experience really unforgettable. Thank you to the lovely staff (Australian) member When back in Amsterdam we&rsquo;ll be back to Hans en Grietje too.
