Carbonara was solid, probably the best I've had locally. Chef came out for a quick chat, which was a nice touch. Service was efficient. Good spot for a reliable business lunch.

The cocktails here are a real standout. Had the "Cardiff Fog" on the heated terrace last night - really clever mix of flavours, perfectly balanced. You can tell they put thought into the drinks.

The chicken tikka was spot on, really tender. Paired it with a crisp lager, which cut through the richness of the butter chicken nicely. Service was friendly, though the pacing between courses felt a bit rushed.

Staff were great with our group and the wheelchair access. Food arrived quickly, but the wine list felt a bit limited for the menu.

Love the fresh fish counter concept. You pick your own seafood, which is a nice touch. The oysters were spot on, really fresh. Lobster was decent too. Makes the meal feel a bit more personal.

Service was quick and friendly. Staff handled our large group well, no long waits for orders or the bill. Efficient for a business lunch.

Lilia handled our big table really well. She was on top of everything, always checking in with a smile. Made the whole thing run smoothly, which is a relief when you're splitting the bill.

Lovely meal once again. Had the chicken for a change, it was beautifully moist and tasty. I always enjoy my meal here. The staff are lovely too and it's good service.

From the moment we were shown to our table, until the time we left, the staff were attentive and friendly. When attending the carvery, the chef gave us a generous portion of meat and there was a lavish array of hot, fresh, vegetables.

A solid spot for a sunny afternoon. The beer list is decent, and the staff were friendly enough. Could use a few more local craft options on tap though.

The staff were amazing. Having booked through fork the booking hadn't made it to the restaurant, even though they were absolutely packed they managed to find us a table. The staff were so attentive and couldn't do enough for us even though they were rushed off their feet. Thank you

We arrived for a 12.15 pm lunch in order to beat the busy period. Most customers were outside in the sunshine but we had chosen to eat indoors. The chairs were very comfortable and the ambiance very tasteful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My sister in law and I had the sea bass fillets and my husband had the gammon. Plates were all clean and my husband and I had a dessert. We will be back the next time we visit the area.

Coffee was good, but honestly a bit pricey for what you get. I paid £4.50 for a regular flat white, which felt steep. The staff were nice though.

The food was tasty, no complaints there. Staff were really friendly too. But honestly, for the portion size, the price felt a bit steep. It's a nice spot, just wish you got a bit more on the plate for what you pay.

The all-day big breakfast is a solid choice, especially after a bike ride. They even have gluten-free and veggie options, which is handy when you're out with friends.

Been coming here for years, and they're always so good with the dog. Let us bring him in to dry off when it started pouring.

We had a lovely meal on Easter Sunday but I wish there was a better selection of vegetables...it always seem to be the same. I would absolutely love sprouts and parsnips for a change

It was a lovely experience enjoyed by all. Food was very well presented, tables were well apart and food was lovely. Staff were great!

Nice spot for a pre-Christmas prosecco. A bit pricey for the pour, but a good break from shopping.

Been coming here for years, it’s a proper local spot. The owners always remember you. Menu’s simple but they do a solid roast on Sundays. Portions are decent, nothing fancy. Just a reliable meal.

The room was so spacious and clean, just what I needed. It's a busy pub downstairs, but honestly, you wouldn't know it up here. So quiet. A really comfy spot to unwind.

The afternoon tea was lovely. I really appreciated how fresh the sandwich fillings were, and the scones were still warm. A proper treat.

The staff were so kind when we left something behind. They posted it back to us and wouldn’t accept any extra payment.

The mixed grill was spot on, and the baklava was just the right amount of sweet. Everything tasted fresh and looked lovely on the plate.

Popped in for the Wednesday burger deal. For a fiver, you get a proper, juicy patty and decent chips. Can't really argue with that.

The Dover sole was spot on, just fell off the bone. The samphire and crevettes were a nice touch. Desserts tasted properly homemade.

Generous portions for the price. The wine list had a nice local option that went well with the hearty dishes.

Great spot for a pint after seeing the cathedral. The tap list had a few local ales I hadn't tried before.

Stayed upstairs for a night. The room was comfortable, but the real highlight was the shower—great water pressure and it felt so modern in a room with lovely old beams. Price was fair for the area.

The restaurant couldn't find my booking when I arrived, but were able to seat me anyway. I ordered the 8oz rump steak and it was cooked perfectly. My server was lovely and got everything spot on. I will definitely eat at this Harvester again.
