The live band upstairs was a nice touch. The music wasn't too loud, so you could still talk. It started right at 7pm like they said. Good spot to watch the bar area below.

The salt and pepper squid was the star. The coating was crisp, not greasy, and the seasoning was spot on. The squid itself was tender. That's what I came for.

Nice pub, decent atmosphere on a Sunday evening. The beer was well-kept.

The drinks are priced fairly, which is a nice surprise these days. My gin and tonic was just right, and didn't break the bank.

Been coming here for years. It's always got that lively Bristol vibe, perfect for a quiet pint or a chat with someone new.

The weekday set menu is such a good deal. Came here with a few mates and we all got it. The smoked trout starter was lovely, and the cauliflower soup with ginger was so warming. Perfect for a chilled catch-up.

The fish & chips were spot on - crispy batter and the fish inside was lovely and moist. A bit pricey for what it is, but the view is fantastic.

The Brewhouse Bird sharing box is decent for a group. Good amount of food for the price. Service was a bit slow on a busy Friday night, but they handled it.

The fish and chips were spot on - crispy batter, fluffy chips. Service was friendly but a bit slow, probably because of the holiday rush.

Booked ahead for the rugby. Got a good table with a clear view of the screen. Staff were on it - kept checking if we needed more drinks. Wings and the burger were solid. Exactly what you want for a match.

Stayed a few nights for work. The room was snug and comfortable, nice bedding. Breakfast was good, plenty of parking. The house red by the glass was surprisingly decent, a proper start to the day.

The New Mill is a really well designed and spacious restaurant, the staff are very pleasant and helpful. They have a good menu and the food is excellent. A very enjoyable and comfortable experience. I have eaten there many times and the different people I have taken there share the same opinion.

Great beer garden out the back, really comes into its own on a sunny afternoon. Solid choice of local ales. Staff are a friendly bunch, which makes a difference. A proper local.

Great spot to bring your dog! The garden is lovely, and the staff were really friendly. We had the fish and chips outside, and it was a decent portion for the price.

Dave and the team are very friendly. They shared some interesting local history and made us feel welcome. A nice, relaxed spot for a pint.

Popped in for a quick pint after work. It's clean, tidy, and the vibe is decent. Prices are fair, which is good for a regular spot. The free parking is a major plus, makes it very convenient.

Dan was a great server, really attentive without being overbearing. He knew the menu well and gave honest advice on portion sizes, which helped us order just right. The food came out quickly too. Good service makes a meal feel like better value.

Lovely building with huge windows. The outside area was a nice spot for a quiet lunch. I really appreciated the focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients in the salad I ordered. The greens were crisp and the dressing light. Just what I was looking for.

Been coming here for years for their Sunday roast. The garden's a nice spot when it's sunny. Portion's always big and you never wait long. It's just a solid, reliable meal.

Popped in for a quick one and ended up staying for three. The 'Stinging Roger's' cocktail is a proper treat – sharp, a bit spicy, and just fun. My new go-to for a casual drink in Bristol.

Nice spot after the refurb. The new decor is warm, makes it easy to relax with a drink. Came in for a quick bite and ended up staying a while.

The local ales here are the real draw. Tried a couple from small breweries, they had a nice depth of flavour, not too bitter. The historic setting is just a backdrop. It's a solid spot if your focus is purely on the beer.

Been coming here for years, and the breakfast never disappoints. The eggs are always cooked just right, and the coffee is consistently strong and hot. It's that kind of reliable quality that keeps me coming back.

Decent home-cooked food, generous portions for the price. The wine list was basic but had a solid house red that went well with the hearty mains. Good for a casual, filling meal.

Been coming here for years, and the steaks are always spot on. Medium-rare, just how I like it, every single time. That consistency keeps me coming back. Alex’s recommendations are solid, too.

The keema madras here is a proper find, can't get it like this anywhere nearby. They were sound about swapping the rice for naan too. Bit of a wait, but worth it.

Good place to catch the game. Loads of screens, so you won't miss a thing. Had a couple of decently priced pints while watching. Solid for that.

Mixed grill and fish and chips were both spot on. The portion for the mixed grill was huge, easily enough for two. Fish and chips portion was decent too. Good value for the price you pay.

Solid jerk chicken. Tender, good spice. Came here for a quick business lunch, service was efficient. The place has that authentic local pub vibe. A bit dark inside, but that's part of the charm. Would stop by again if in the area.
