Been coming here for years. Steaks are always grilled just right. Quick, friendly service too. Never disappoints.

The goulash was spot on, with tender beef in a rich sauce. The house red they suggested was a perfect match.

The sandwiches here are so good. I had the one with slow-roasted pork and pickled onions, the bread was perfectly toasted. Service was quick and friendly too.

Service was friendly and efficient, our food arrived in good time. The staff made us feel welcome without being overbearing. A comfortable spot for a relaxed meal.

Looks basic from the outside, but the food is seriously good. Got the chicken sandwich for a quick lunch, came out fast. Spotless inside too.

Interesting menu with loads of choice. The 'build your own' sharing plates were a fun idea. My table went for the grilled halloumi and the lamb skewers, both solid. The flatbread was a bit dry though. Still, a good spot for a casual group meal.

I always get the beef chow mein here. The vegetables are crisp and fresh, which I really appreciate. The homemade onion rings are a nice treat, too, though they can be a bit greasy sometimes. It's my go-to for a reliable meal.

Popped in for a quiet pint and ended up staying for dinner. The barman suggested a local ale that paired surprisingly well with the steak pie. Staff were spot on, really attentive without being overbearing. A proper pub feel, just what I was after.

The full English breakfast is the one to get. The bacon was crisp, the eggs just right, and the black pudding had a good depth to it. Portion was generous for the price. That's what I come for.

A lovely chippy with a large menu. The sweet and sour chicken balls were nice, but I really noticed how fresh the fish bites were. They were huge and tasted so clean, not greasy at all. The staff were very kind.

Been ordering from here for years. The crispy chilli beef is always spot on, never greasy. Portions are decent for the price. It's my go-to when I can't be bothered cooking.

The portions here are huge, especially the cakes. We always end up with a slice to take home! Really good for sharing with friends when you want to try a bit of everything.

The vegan fish and chips are really good. The staff were so friendly, which made the whole visit very comfortable.

Lovely spot on the Whitehaven waterfront. The pub's got a great vibe. Had a pint of their local ale with the fish and chips - a classic pairing that really hit the spot. The beer was crisp and cut through the batter nicely. A solid choice for a casual meal by the water.

Convenient location for a quick business lunch. The harbour view is decent. Ordered the fish and chips - portion was fine, but the chips were a bit soggy. Service was prompt.

Fresh ingredients, better than most sit-down Chinese spots. Had the kung pao chicken, veggies were crisp, chicken tender. Quality is there.

The bread course was a standout. So much flavour in something so simple.

Decent spot for a bite in Windermere. The calzone was huge, honestly could have shared one between two of us. Coffee was fine. Good for watching the world go by.

Popped in for the early dinner. The monkfish was lovely, and they were really nice about letting us order it from that menu. Tables are a bit close together, but the staff were so friendly it didn't matter much.

Really good value for money! The seafood was super fresh and the venison was cooked just right. Great spot for a catch-up with friends, we all left happy and full.

Nice little spot tucked away at the back of the inn. The room is quiet, good for a proper sit-down meal. Felt like a bit of a treat, just what you want sometimes.

Chicken Pad Thai was spot on. Properly tangy and not too sweet. Good portion too. That's all I really need from a Thai place in Ambleside.

Had a small mishap on the nearby trail and popped in. The staff were really decent, helped sort things out. The coffee and a slice of their homemade cake hit the spot afterwards. Good people.
