Been wanting a decent Chinese place nearby. Tried the curry sauce here, it's actually pretty flavourful and rich. Fried rice was solid too. For what you pay, the portions are generous.

I popped in for a sandwich after a lakeside walk. The bread was clearly fresh, and the fillings were generous with crisp greens. It's nice to see a focus on quality ingredients. The sandwich was quite filling, which was perfect.

The salted caramel gelato was really good, but I was surprised by the portion size for the price. It's a small scoop in a pretty basic cup. Tastes great, just wish there was a bit more for what you pay.

Comfy spot for a quick coffee and cake. I had the pancakes with streaky bacon and a fried egg - they were just right for a relaxed brunch. The staff were really friendly, which made the whole thing very easy.

The three-person set menu was such good value! Huge portions, and everything tasted great. The staff were really friendly too, which made it a perfect spot for a catch-up with my mates.

Been coming here for years. The upstairs dining area is always spotless and feels cosy, perfect for a quiet meal. Staff are friendly without being over the top. Just a reliable local spot.

Popped in for a quick lunch. The bacon, brie & chutney panini was spot on. They have a decent house red that paired really well with it, which was a nice touch. Prices are fair. Just a solid, no-fuss spot for a bite.

Love the vibe here! The walls are covered in funny quotes, perfect for a giggle with mates. Had the mint hot chocolate and a lemon drizzle cake. Service was quick, and we didn't feel rushed at all. A really nice spot for a catch-up.

The apple crumble cocktail was pretty good, quite inventive. The menu seems decent overall. The main courses were fine, though my fish was a little overcooked.

Been coming here for years. The wood fire in the corner is always going, makes the whole place feel cosy. It's just a really consistent spot to unwind.

A classic spot with a solid menu. The gluten-free options were a nice surprise, honestly. My plate was huge, definitely didn't leave hungry.

The pizza's definitely fresh and tasty, a solid choice for a quick bite. The space itself is a bit tight though, tables are quite close together.

The homemade soup and cheese scones really hit the spot. Came back for them a second time this week, the scones were still warm and flaky. Just what you need on a chilly day.

Been coming here for years when in Keswick. Their hot chocolate is the real deal, especially the caramel one. It’s just right, not too sweet. The place is always warm and cosy, which is nice on a damp day.

No indoor seating, but the pasties are great for a walk. Picked one up to enjoy with a takeaway coffee on this lovely street.

The beef in black pepper sauce was lovely and tender. The booths are really comfortable for a relaxed meal.

The sourdough base was surprisingly light and crispy, you could actually taste it under all the toppings. My Summer Lovin' pizza was good, but for the price, I was expecting a slightly bigger portion.

Great spot by the waterfall for a quick break. The sound of the water is so relaxing. Had a coffee and just sat there for a bit, really nice view.

Food was good, no complaints there. But the service was a bit hit or miss. Waited a while for our order, and they brought the wrong starter. Could be smoother.

The coffee and cakes are decent, but I was a bit surprised by the price for the portion size. The space does feel brighter after the refurb, which is nice. Just wish the snacks offered a bit more for what you pay.

This little bakery is my go-to for a catch-up with friends. The pain au raisin is packed with fruit, and the coffee is just right for a long chat. It's a bit small inside, so getting a table can be tricky.

The burgers are really good, juicy and cooked just right. The beer list is solid too. But what stood out was the vibe - the lighting was soft, and the wooden tables felt nice and sturdy. Just a comfortable spot to unwind.

Been coming here for years when I'm out walking. Got caught in a downpour yesterday and ducked in. Coffee's always good and strong, just what you need. Staff are nice, never feel rushed to leave. It's a proper local spot.

Dog-friendly spot with board games. The pizzas looked huge and tasty, even though I didn't order one.

My regular stop for pastries in the Lake District. They bake in small batches all day, so nothing ever feels like it's been sitting around. The smell when you walk in is just lovely.

Stopped in for lunch on a rainy walk. The welcome was genuinely warm, even with a soggy dog in tow. My lamb hotpot was spot on—rich, tender, and just what you need on a damp day. A really nice vibe in here.

Had a late lunch here after our hike. The place was packed but the staff were really on it, checking in without being overbearing. Friendly, efficient service when you're tired and hungry makes all the difference.
