Been coming here for years, and the portions are always just right. Not stingy, not overwhelming. That consistency is why I keep coming back.

The cafe has a nice, tidy vibe. I had a good English breakfast tea and they offer a decent selection of alternative milks. Service was friendly, though the place was a bit busy.

Great spot for a quick bite. The chips are the real deal - crispy outside, fluffy inside. Heard a few people walking out saying the same thing. Service was fast, got my order in under 5 minutes. Perfect for a lunch break.

Sunday lunch was lovely. The vibe is smart casual, which I really appreciate. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Food came out quickly and tasted great. Cocktails were a nice touch too. Good spot on the high street.

I had a lovely time at the Alex with friends. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the staff, particularly Cora, were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our visit memorable.

Score would have been higher but Resturante was cold, they put two small heaters near our table but still cold. Also they missed my wife’s desert & when we asked were told all locked up so she missed out which she was not happy about. Otherwise food was good, well cooked & tasty.

Two pies, mash with liquor, and two coffees came to under £20. That's good value for central London. The pies were solid, proper comfort food. Coffee was decent. Service was quick, which I appreciate on a working lunch.

The scones were lovely and fresh, just perfect with the clotted cream. The staff were so friendly and attentive, which made the whole afternoon feel very relaxed. A really pleasant spot for a quiet treat.

Really liked the vibe here. It's got that industrial-chic thing going on, but the lighting is soft and the chairs are actually comfortable. You could easily spend a couple of hours just relaxing.

Been here a few times now. The staff are always really friendly and polite, which makes a big difference. It’s just a nice, relaxed vibe every time you walk in.

Service was really on point even though it was packed. They checked in a few times to let us know our table was almost ready, which was nice. Felt looked after without being rushed.

Hina was great. Really attentive, remembered our drinks, and had a lovely way about her. Made the whole evening feel a bit more relaxed. Service like that is a nice touch.

They were very careful with my nut allergy, double-checking the menu and the kitchen. It's a relief to eat out without worrying. The food was decent, though the wait was a bit long.

Joseph was so lovely and attentive, really made the evening. The food was spot-on, too. Just a really nice vibe all round.

I had a lovely breakfast here, and the service from Lesley was exceptional—she was warm and welcoming, making the experience even better.

The gluten-free options are a real plus for me. I had the grilled salmon with quinoa salad, and everything tasted so fresh. The salmon was cooked just right, and the salad greens were crisp. It's nice to have a place where you can find healthy choices that don't feel like an afterthought.

Solid fish and chips here. The cod had a really nice, crispy batter and the chips were proper fresh-cut. Just a classic done right, you know?

The breakfast is the star here. Proper butcher's sausages, eggs cooked just right. It's not cheap, but you're paying for that quality. Felt like a solid start to the day.

The half-and-half pizza was a nice option. I really appreciated the freshness of the tomato base, it tasted very natural. The crust was cooked just right, not too heavy. A good choice for a lighter meal.

The new decor's a big upgrade, feels more upscale now. Was in on a busy Friday and the staff were still really polite, even when they were clearly rushed.

Been coming here for years, and the vegan dishes are always solid. They come out piping hot, just how I like them. That consistency keeps me coming back.

Food's always piping hot and arrives fast. The refurb really brightened the place up, feels much cleaner now.

Loved the live music on Friday night. It was just the right volume, not too loud to talk over. Created such a relaxed, easy-going vibe for our dinner. Really made the evening.

Lovely spot for a relaxed meal. The mixed grill was the highlight for me – you could really taste the freshness of the ingredients, especially the chicken and lamb. Everything felt well-prepared and not too heavy. A good, simple option if you're looking for something satisfying.

Greek eggs with feta were spot on. Coffee was strong, almost too much for the morning. Sausages in the full English were decent.

Popped in for a scone and a juice after shopping. The scone was fresh, but the real treat was the fresh-pressed orange juice. It had a lovely balance of sweetness and acidity that paired surprisingly well with the scone's richness. A simple, satisfying stop.

Big group lunch. Roxana and Claudia handled it all smoothly. Food came out quick, still tasted great. No fuss, just what we needed.

Been coming here for years. The back cafe area is my spot - cozy, quiet, and you can actually relax with a coffee. It's the one place that hasn't changed, which is nice.

Menu's got loads of options, which is handy. Clear labels for gluten-free and veggie stuff. Food's better than your average pub grub. Quick lunch sorted.
