Been coming here for a while now. Place is big, right in the middle of Essen, easy to find. Last time we asked for something off-menu, homemade lemonade, and they just made it happen. That's why I keep coming back. Not the fanciest spot, but they treat you right. Consistent, you know?

Been coming here for a while now. Kitchen stays open late, which is perfect for after work. Vegan options are solid, portions big enough. Music's loud but not deafening. Still my go-to spot in Essen.

The lighting in there is warm, almost like a soft glow. Seafood spaghetti was fresh, no complaints. Place felt genuinely cozy, not trying too hard. A bit loud by the window but that added to the vibe. Left feeling cheerful, honestly.

The 200g cheeseburger here is solid. Organic meat comes through in the taste. Probably one of the better ones in Essen.

Stopped here after cycling for hours. The soup and potato gratin hit the spot. Portion was decent for the price, not huge but fair. Waitress spoke English which made ordering easy. Place was a bit quiet but fine for a quick refuel. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Food was solid and the staff were nice. Music was way too loud though, could barely hear my friend.

The chef actually came out to tweak a dish for my dietary needs. No fuss, no eye-rolls. That kind of flexibility is rare. Service was quick too, and they take cards. Solid spot if you're in the area.

The bitterballen were the real deal. Crunchy outside, warm and gooey inside. Had the stoofvlees too, meat was properly tender. Beer was decent, nothing crazy. Place was busy but that didn't matter. Solid spot for a quick bite.

The cocktails were solid and the vibe is nice, but the food really is hit or miss. Nachos were great, my burger was kinda dry though.

The bacon-wrapped prawns were the highlight honestly. Cactus soup was a nice surprise too, pretty unique. I had the mixed grill and my friend got the tuna, both cooked properly. Place was busy but we got our food quick enough. Would come back for those prawns again.

Fani really made the difference here. Super friendly, always around when you needed her, never had to wait long for anything. Just a genuinely nice vibe she brought to the table. Food was decent too, but honestly the service was the highlight. Left feeling pretty good about the whole thing.

The veggie pizza and curry were the real highlights—the crust had that perfect chew, and the curry was properly spiced. Iced tea list is solid too, great for cooling down. Place had a nice buzz, though it got a bit loud later. Would come back for that pizza alone.

Solid spot for a work dinner. Food was good, service attentive without hovering. Place is clean and well-furnished, decent for a business meeting. My steak came out right, though the sides were a bit standard. Not cheap, but you pay for the convenience and the setting. I'd use it again if I need to host clients nearby.

Stumbled in here on a random evening. Place looks plain from the street, but the food was seriously good. Had the duck, cooked just right, not dry at all. Service was quick and left us alone, which I appreciate. Sat outside on the terrace, nice breeze. Only thing, the sides were a bit small for the price. Still, solid spot.

The pistachio scoop was proper creamy, not too sweet. Sat by the river watching boats go by, pretty chill spot. Got a double cone for under five euros, decent size. Place was a bit busy but the line moved fast. Would grab another one if I'm in the area again.

Decent place to sit outside with a drink when the weather's good. The fountains make it a nice spot to just hang out. Staff were friendly enough and spoke English, which helped. Coffee was fine, nothing fancy. Pretty good for a quick break if you're in the area.

The Mexican burger was really good. Staff let us hang around with our wine after we finished, no rush at all. Nice change.

The surprise menu with the pear dish and wine pairing was really nice. €32.50 felt fair for what you got. Service was friendly and attentive without hovering.

Service was friendly and attentive. Owner stopped by our table to check in, which felt personal. Nice spot if you're in the area.

The grilled seafood was seriously fresh — perfectly charred and full of flavor. Cozy spot, though service took a bit. Would come back for that fish alone.

First time here and honestly the meat was so tender. Really well seasoned too, not dry at all. Portion size felt right for what you pay. Service was quick even though it seemed busy. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

The gambas salad was really good, prawns cooked just right. Quattro formaggi pizza had a nice balance, not too heavy. Terrace is big and dogs are welcome, which I appreciated. Service was fine, nothing to complain about. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get, but I'd still come back for that salad.

Solid old-school Konditorei. Huge cake and tart selection, all homemade. Quality holds up every time, prices fair for the portion.

The pasta and saltimbocca were really good. Prices are steep though, especially for drinks. Service was fine, but I'm not sure it's worth the splurge every time.

Came in on a busy night, took a while before our drinks showed up. Not the fastest service, but the guys working were chill about it. Food was decent, nothing crazy. Probably fine if you're not in a rush.

Tastes just like Five Guys back in the States. Burger was fresh and simple, exactly what I wanted. Staff were friendly and quick. My go-to spot for a proper American burger here.
