The surprise menu really delivered — every course came out well-balanced, and the plating was spot on. I went with the wine pairing and honestly, it made the whole thing click. Cozy room, staff let us take our time. Only tiny gripe: pacing slowed a bit toward the end. Still, a solid night out.

Stopped by for a coffee and ended up staying longer than planned. Place is small but tidy, and the guy behind the counter was super chill. Prices felt fair for what you get. Didn’t try the food but the tea menu looked solid. Maybe next time I’ll grab a beer instead.

The buffet here is solid. Grilled meats were fresh, sushi tasted like it was made to order. Good spot if you want variety without the usual buffet quality.

Stumbled on this place while wandering around town and ended up staying longer than planned. Got the pasta and honestly it was solid—sauce had real depth. Staff let me sit with my coffee way past finishing it, which I appreciated. Only thing is it got a bit noisy when the afternoon crowd came in. Would go back for the quiet hours though.

The food was really tasty, nicely plated too. We sat near the window, and the chairs were comfortable enough to just relax and take our time. Service was friendly without hovering, which I appreciated. Only thing, it got a bit busy later, but that didn't bother us much. A solid spot if you want an easy, pleasant meal.

Truffle parmesan fries were a bit of a letdown, honestly. But plenty of veggie options and the flavors were solid. Quick service too, which I appreciated.

The caramello sundae was solid. Sweet but not too heavy, and the caramel sauce actually tasted like caramel. Got it as a quick stop and it hit the spot. Place was busy but the line moved fast. Would grab one again if I'm in the area.

Stopped by for lunch and the portion felt fair for what you pay. Nothing fancy, just a solid no-fuss spot when you're nearby. I had the grilled chicken salad—greens were fresh, not wilted, which I always appreciate. Maybe not the most exciting meal, but it hit the spot.

We used a Social Deal for the 3-course menu, paid a bit extra for the pricier dishes. Food was decent, but with drinks it came to €40 each. Not sure I'd call it a bargain.

We started with the sharing starter—five different ones, all solid. The wine list had a nice Grüner that paired well with the lighter plates. Setting is modern, relaxed, good for a casual dinner. Only minor thing: service slowed down a bit near the end. But I'd come back for that starter round alone.

Prices keep creeping up every time I visit, but honestly, the ice cream still tastes fresh and smooth. Had a scoop of their classic vanilla, and it hit the spot. Yeah, it's a bit pricey for what it is, but you're paying for the quality. I'll probably still stop by when I'm craving something sweet.

The place is a recurring meeting point for family dos, a habit descended from my in-laws.This time just a meal for two. Good food, diligent, pleasant service.

Been here a few times now. Kitchen stays consistent, which is the main reason I keep coming back. The wild ragout pie is solid—proper filling, decent pastry. Liège waffle does the job too, not too sweet. Service was fine, no complaints. Place gets busy around lunch, so timing matters if you want a quiet table.

Service was solid - friendly, knew the menu, and spoke English well. That helped a lot since my German's decent but not great for food terms. Recommended a decent local dish I wouldn't have picked myself. Place was busy but they didn't rush us. Fine for a business lunch if you're in the area.

Decent lunch spot in Bocholt. The 9€ deal is fair for what you get. Had the chicken schnitzel with cheese and pineapple — pretty good, filling enough. Nothing fancy, but fine for a casual meal.

The Schweinshaxen was spot on. Crispy skin, meat fell apart, and that sweet BBQ sauce did the job. Portion was big enough that I skipped the next meal. Beer list had a few decent options. Nothing fancy, just good food.

The pulled chicken bao was the highlight for me—so juicy and well-seasoned. I liked that the appetizers came out fresh and vibrant. The mains were okay, though the steak could’ve used a pinch of salt. Fries were a bit soft for Dutch taste. Dessert and cheese board saved the end of the meal nicely. Place is loud, so not the spot for a quiet chat.

Been coming here for a while now. Staff still remember my usual order, which says a lot. Even when it's packed, they stay friendly and don't rush you. Food's consistent too, never had a bad meal. That's honestly why I keep coming back. Just wish they had a bit more seating, but that's minor.

The food was exceptionally good! And the portions were quite big. Also the ambiance was really nice, very industrial but with a nice mood. I would definately reccommend this restaurant!

Decent schnitzel and salmon for lunch. Service was friendly and quick. Desserts were the best part, honestly.

Nice selection of meat, even some cuts I hadn't seen before. Staff knew their stuff when I asked about the specials. Menu's small but covers enough.

Stopped here before my flight and honestly it worked out well. Schnitzel came out super fast, like barely had time to sit down. Strudel was decent too. Only thing—menu’s pretty small, and they didn’t have decaf even though it was listed. Fine for a quick bite though.

The pizzas are proper size and the thin crust was done well. Had the margherita, pretty solid choice for a casual dinner in Essen. Place was busy but we got a table fine. Service decent, nothing to complain about. Would come back if I'm in the area.

Nice spot, the interior is really something. Had a few dishes I haven't seen on other Italian menus around here. Service was on point too.

Cozy place, staff genuinely friendly. Had the grilled fish with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc—decent pairing, though the wine list could use a few more options. Food was good, not mind-blowing.

Good food and fair prices. It's one of the few spots open late on Saturdays, though it gets noticeably louder and darker after 9 if you want a chill dinner.

The glasshouse out back is a solid spot to park yourself for a few hours. Food was decent, service friendly. Wish they had a better wine list though, beer garden kinda calls for something lighter.

We had our wedding reception here last month. Staff handled everything without us asking, which was nice. Dinner was solid, the beef was cooked right. They even put out flowers and candles on their own. Place looked great for photos. Only thing, it got a bit warm inside with that many people. But overall a decent spot for a party.

Gyros was solid, easily one of the better ones I've had in Viersen. Place was busy but my order still came out fast. Portion size was generous too.
