Came here with friends after class. The tonkotsu broth with dried sardine is so rich and the noodles are thick and chewy. The regular size is huge, we all struggled to finish. Perfect for a casual hangout!

The kids' menu was a lifesaver, and they even gave them their own plates. Made things so much easier.

Booked ahead. The sashimi was the standout, especially the fatty tuna. The crab was good too, but the sashimi is what I'd come back for. Fresh and clean flavors.

This Italian restaurant is a true gem in Niigata, boasting a Michelin star! The food is expertly crafted, and the wine pairings elevate the dining experience to another level.

The sea urchin cream pasta was fantastic, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. I was still a little hungry after finishing it.

Grabbed a counter seat for lunch. The set menu was paced nicely, and I liked how the staff suggested a light white wine that went well with the fish course. A relaxed, unhurried meal.

Always get the squid ink pasta here. It’s my go-to. The portion is generous for the price, and it’s just consistently good.

The hegi soba with duck broth was my pick. The noodles had this interesting, slippery texture from the seaweed. Broth was deep and savory. Just felt a bit pricey for the portion.

Loved the Showa-era vibe here. The retro decor, especially the warm lighting and wooden booths, made me feel like I stepped back in time. Such a cozy spot in Nagaoka.

Came in solo for a late dinner. The staff was really attentive without being overbearing. Their wine suggestion was spot-on for my pasta—a nice, simple red that didn't overpower the dish. Felt very relaxed.

The food here is meticulously prepared and beautifully presented. Each dish showcases high-quality local ingredients, and the attentive service enhances the overall experience.

The fillet steak was so tender, honestly. Ate it by the window, the evening light was really nice. The abalone was good too, but that steak was the main thing for me.

Been coming here for years, always after the train. The happy hour drinks are still a solid deal. Just a reliable spot to unwind.

Been coming here for years. Always plenty of space, never feels cramped even when it's busy. Good for bringing the kids, they can move around a bit. Just a solid, comfortable spot for a meal.

The lighting was just right, dim but not too dark, and the soft jazz in the background was a nice touch. It felt really polished and relaxed, a good place to unwind after work.

Decent bakery option. I grabbed a croissant from the place next door and they were cool with it. The croissant was flaky, buttery, and still warm. Perfect with their coffee. Simple and no fuss.

Convenient spot near Nagaoka Station. It's a popular place, which is nice. The staff was friendly and efficient, which made for a relaxed meal. The tables are spaced well, so it never felt crowded.

Cozy spot with a fantastic whisky and craft beer selection. Came with a couple friends and the small snacks were just right to share while we chatted. Felt relaxed, not rushed at all.
