The staff was so kind. They kept refilling our water glasses without us asking, which was lovely on a warm day. And they didn't mind at all when I asked to leave off the pickled veggies. Just a nice, thoughtful touch.

Service was on point. Friendly but not overbearing. Just the right amount of attention. Made the whole meal feel relaxed.

The bill for two, with a few drinks and sharing plates, was about 9,000 yen. A couple of the small plates seemed a touch expensive for the portion. But the ingredients were fresh and the flavors were spot-on.

A short walk from Higashi-Hagi Station. That huge tank with live squid and pufferfish is something else. Ordered the pufferfish sashimi right after the chef pulled it out. Texture was really springy, clean taste. A bit pricey, but you're paying for that freshness.

The fried chicken was surprisingly light and not greasy at all. Appreciate that they use fresh oil.

The toro was pretty good, creamy and rich. You can tell the seafood is fresh, being right next to the market. A decent spot for that.

The hospitality at this restaurant is exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time, making it a perfect place for special occasions.

Had to wait a bit on a Friday night, but I get it—they cook everything fresh. The slow pace actually let me enjoy the wine pairing I chose. It worked well with the flavors.

The miso soup with mozuku was a nice surprise. The portion was generous for the price, and the koji miso aroma was lovely. Good value for a starter.

Came here with three friends for a casual lunch. We shared the Kawara Soba, and the portion was actually perfect for sharing. Just enough for a light meal so we could chat and not feel too stuffed. Good for a group catch-up!

Sat at the counter, which was nice. But honestly, for the price of the set menu, I expected a bit more food on the plate. The chefs were fun to watch, though.

Nice chill spot for catching up with friends. The long, narrow layout actually makes it feel more private.

Despite the challenging location, the journey is worth it for the delicious food and charming ambiance. The menu is thoughtfully crafted, and the attention to detail in both the dishes and the decor is impressive.
