Lovely afternoon in their big beer garden with friends. The staff were really friendly. I just wish there were a few more fresh, healthy snack options on the menu to go with the drinks.

Really liked the classic pub vibe here. The menu has a lot of options, which is nice. I noticed the ingredients in my salad were genuinely fresh and crisp. The atmosphere gets much more lively later on, but I prefer the quieter daytime feel for a relaxed meal.

The beef was lovely and tender, and the roasties were spot on. What really stood out was the wine list - found a really nice Malbec that went perfectly with the roast. Made the whole meal. A bit pricey for a carvery, but the drink selection justified it.

The Sunday roast is the thing to get. The beef was cooked just right, still pink in the middle, and the gravy had a proper depth to it. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. A solid plate of food.

Ive not been in the Cardigan Arms for around 30 years. I was delighted that the magnificent decor, furniture and layout hadnt been changed and that they were now serving food. I had a fabulous beef Sunday roast and my neighbour had succulent gammon, Yorkshire puds etc. I asked for extra gravy, which was delicious and horse raddish.  The staff were really helpful, infact quite charming.  A good selection of beers, wines and a well stacked bar.  Easy access from the street and plenty of parking. As an ex-Secret Diner, it really ticked all the boxes for me.  Thanks Liam, your a great chef

Popped in without a reservation and they squeezed us in. The lamb rump was spot on. Their wine list had a decent Malbec that really stood up to the richness of the meat. The Thai curry was flavourful, though a touch more heat would&#39;ve been nice for me.

Staff were so lovely, especially Becky the manager. She really looked after us and made the whole evening feel special. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, perfect for a catch-up with friends. Just a really nice spot.

Bottomless brunch was decent. Imose and the team kept things moving, which was good. Cocktails hit the spot.

The steak and ale pie was the star. The filling was rich and the pastry was spot on. They gave me extra gravy without any fuss, which was perfect for the mash. That&#39;s what I come for.

The afternoon tea was lovely. I really enjoyed the setting. The scones were fresh and light, which was nice. I just wish there had been a couple more savory finger sandwiches on the tier. A bit more balance for a proper tea.

Came for the first time and loved the riverside spot. So much outdoor space to enjoy the view. It does get packed though, had to wait a bit even with a booking.
