Alexander Square is Berlin's transport hub and commercial center. The most striking of Alexander Square is the 368-meter-high TV tower, which allows visitors to climb to the tallest building in Berlin to see the city. In 1805, it coincided with the visit of Russian Tsar Alexander I and the meeting of Friedrich Wilhelm III, who had inspected the troops here, so it had the name "Alexander Square".
