The town of Pochenis is quiet and can't be smaller, but there is a famous Pochenis castle here. It is said that the castle was originally wooden and was renovated by an Earl of the Balfi family in the late 19th century to look like it is now. The reason for the remodeling was that the count fell in love with a French girl, but the girl's father refused him because the count's residence (that was the wooden castle) was not beautiful enough, and in order to win the consent of the girl's family, the count remodeled the castle in the Loire Valley. The problem is that this change is 22 years, not only the girl can not wait to marry, even the count himself did not wait for the moment the castle was completed in 1910.
