Traveling to Korea, it is essential to visit the historical and cultural monuments of Korea "Gyeongboku Palace". Take the subway to the Guanghua Gate. First, you will pass the statue of the King of Shizong, and then go forward to the Guanghua Gate. Many tourists will specially change to Hanfu to visit here. Guanghua Gate is free to enter. The Gyeongboku Palace inside is to buy tickets separately, the price is not expensive, when I went there was about tens of dollars. The status of Gyeongboo Palace in South Korea can actually be comparable to the ancient palaces such as the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace in China. The status in the hearts of South Koreans is also very high. In addition to many tourists visiting here, Korean students are also organized to visit here, which is equivalent to the patriotic education of spring tours. Very lively. In addition, many Koreans who are not living in Seoul will also join a group to visit here. If you know Korean, you may as well follow them. The introduction of the Korean tour guide is very comprehensive. It is divided into several palaces, each palace has detailed multi-language explanations, come here to learn a lot of Korean palace ancient times of history and culture, is a place to learn knowledge; The scenery here is also very good, the mountains and clear waters are beautiful, many girls come here to take pictures in Hanfu, and there are many big enterprises that will come here to build a team.

If this your first time to Korea, this is a must place to go. You are able to see various Korea culture, and the palace is very very big! Unfortunately the weather is too hot when we went there, it will be perfect if it's winter. Outside the palace there's a lot of shops to rent the hanbok. No need to make any reservation. The price for hanbok rental mostly around 15,000won-30,000won, depends on it's design. I rent this hanbok at 15,000 won for 4 hours which I think is super worthy!

Experience the richness of Korean culture with traditional costumes and captivating events like the changing of the guards, accompanied by lively drum performances. Tours are readily available, and discounts are offered for those donning traditional attire or costumes. Explore the palace buildings and hanoks to marvel at the intricate Korean architecture adorned with vibrant designs. The grand halls showcase remarkable carpentry, while the expansive palace grounds evoke a sense of bygone eras.

One of the finest (must visit) places in Seoul to witness ancient/historical times of Korean history and culture! Very well maintained. Easily accessible from metro station. Loved walking around the palace premises and witness the historical vibes. It feels so good to be here if you’re a history loving person! Also, the admission is discounted for those with physical disabilities and free to those wearing Hanboks (the traditional Korean attire than can be rented just outside of the palace at various shops).
