The palace is the main palace of the last unified dynasty in the history of the Korean Peninsula, the Korean dynasty (Lee's Korea). It is located in Seoul, the capital of the Korean dynasty (now Seoul, South Korea), and because it is located in the north of the city, it is also known as the "North Temple", the first of the five palaces in Seoul, the political center of the early Korean dynasty.

It has three courtyards, one within another for different with a central palace in each. The place is big and houses two museum as well. It will take 3-4 hours at minimum to explore it fully.Don’t miss the Royal guard parade and ceremonies

Being destroyed by fire and briefly under Japan during end of 16th century, it lost its grandeur during 17 and 18th century. It was restored in 19th century again to its current form.

The finest palace of Seoul. An UNESCO World Heritage site which is worth experiencing once. It used to be the seat of power of Joseon dynasty from 14-16th century.

One of the finest (must visit) places in Seoul to witness ancient/historical times of Korean history and culture! Very well maintained. Easily accessible from metro station. Loved walking around the palace premises and witness the historical vibes. It feels so good to be here if you’re a history loving person! Also, the admission is discounted for those with physical disabilities and free to those wearing Hanboks (the traditional Korean attire than can be rented just outside of the palace at various shops).
