Hakuryū Shrine Review

The shrine is celebrating 830 years anniversary. Went on a Saturday and it was busy and packed. Many Japanese visited the Shrine to pay respect to the family who sacrificed for Japan. Quite a few steps to go up to the shrine but worth it. The Tori at the Lake Ashi is nice too. It is call the Gate of Peace.

The Bailong Shrine is a very fun building in Hakone. The shrine itself is also very distinctive. This place is not very large in scale. It is also a place that locals worship. It has some etiquette and attention requirements that need special attention.

Many shrines are gifts from the local people. They are places that the local people respect. Bailong shrine is a park in the nine-headed forest of Hakone.

The White Dragon Shrine is dedicated to the gods of Gaolong and Suzo. The offerings are raw eggs. The Shrine has monthly worship activities.

Originally, the shrine was built under willows. Later, ginkgo trees were moved here as imperial shrines. There were many works of art.
