Mazunte Review

What a unique, fun place to enjoy great, fresh Mexican food. You order at the counter from the big menu. Good choice...even vegetarians or vegetarians! You can watch chefs piecing together their delicious food at their big barbecue station. I had 3 vegetable tacos, Mexican rice, shared endless fries and salsa bars... delicious!! We even got a free roasted corn ear... um! They did offer alcoholic beverages... But I didn’t check the options. Self-service cleanup, much like Panera. Really busy...but fast and efficient! Can't wait to go back again!

The restaurant was recommended by some local friends. We had already arrived by dinner standards and had already queued up. A pleasant host greets you with a drink (there are several options but we recommend Holtchata) and promises to prepare a table for you after you order. The whole menu looks fantastic. We eat pork tortillas with a fresh tortilla. We also have black bean paste and fresh rice (not typical 'dirty' rice). Salsa bar is an absolute steal for $1, unlimited chips and 4 salsa options (mild pickup, roasted tomato, Tima TiLo, and a slightly spicy salsa). We decided to return to brunch later in the weekend and be happy again. We had CyQaales (rich in Shakespeare and warm salsa, to keep crisp in some way) and breakfast tortillas. A small restaurant that has to work hard when it is not possible to use the outdoor seating area, but the food is excellent and worth the wait!
