The Statue of Liberty (French Statue de la liberté) is a huge neoclassical sculpture that stands on Liberty Island, New York, USA. The bronze statue was designed by French sculptor Frederick Auguste Bartholdi (Frédé ricAuguste Bartholdi) and was a gift from the French people to the American people. Its metal frame was built by Gustav Eiffel (Gustave Eiffel). The statue was completed on October 28, 1886. The base of the Statue of Liberty, which was built by the famous Joseph Pulitzer for $100,000, is a museum of American immigration history. The interior of the Statue is an introduction to construction projects and many parts exhibitions. Visitors can also take the elevator to the crown to see the scenery outside.
