If you also like quiet, it's highly recommended here. People who like to be busy may feel that there's nothing to see. From Sir Raffles'landing site to the Raffles Hotel, a square kilometre area is like a church hall street, 2,300 metres apart. When I'm tired of walking, I sit here for a rest. It's quiet. I come here on weekdays. There are no more than five people in the whole building. Atmosphere, quiet, there is a statue of Sir Raffles at the door. Sitting and resting, watching the shadows of the colonnade cast on the wall is a sense of time.
