Guangwu Mountain Tourist Area

Guangwu Mountain Tourist Area is located in the northern part of Nanjiang, Bazhong, Sichuan, in the heart of the Micang Mountains at the border of Sichuan and Shaanxi, sitting on the climate divide between northern and southern China. Its unique geography and climate have created a remarkable karst ridge-and-peak-cluster landscape, combining five superlatives: wondrous mountains, grotesque rocks, secluded valleys, elegant waters, and precipitous peaks. The Jiaojia River winds through it, with peak clusters rising sheer on both banks, and views such as Swallow Rock, Seven Maidens Peak, Longjia Yanyun, and Taiji Tiankeng each possessing their own distinctive charm. The scenery varies across the four seasons—enjoy azaleas in spring, cool breezes in summer, red leaves in fall, and rime in winter, with the red leaves being especially renowned. In golden October, the mountains are covered in red, and the layered forests are dyed in brilliant colors; the leaves shift gradually from blue and green to yellow, orange, and red, with a rich variety of species and a viewing period of up to one month. The attraction features a large expanse of ancient Fagus pashanica forest—a fossil plant identified and named by the Royal Society of the United Kingdom—whose distribution is concentrated globally. It also boasts a profound cultural heritage. The Micang Ancient Road, together with the Jinniu Road and the Lizhi Road, is known as one of China's three great ancient Shu roads, running north-south through the attraction. Historical tales such as Xiao He chasing Han Xin under the moonlight, Zhuge Liang feeding his horses at Muyang City, and Zhang Fei setting up camp at Luoqi Mountain all took place here. The Bashan Bei'er Song has been sung among the people for thousands of years and is listed as a national-level intangible cultural heritage. This area was also once the center of the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base, where the Bashan Guerrilla Force left behind moving red memories. After nightfall, the large-scale immersive landscape night tour "Dreamland of Guangwu Mountain" integrates Ba culture, the Micang Ancient Road, and the natural landscape. With the help of light-and-shadow technologies such as glasses-free 3D, mist imaging, and AR interaction, it unfolds four chapters and seven scenes along the tour route from the attraction entrance to Lianghekou, allowing visitors to immersively experience the legends of Bashan in the night.Nanjiang · 37.3km from downtown

Eighteen Moon Lake Waterfall Group Eighteen Moon Lake is famous for its clear water, unique rocks and beautiful scenery. The first thing that comes into view when entering the scenic area is the Wedding Dress Waterfall, which is more than 50 meters high. Zhaogongtan has an area of about 100 square meters, surrounded by pine trees and iron sandalwood, and is primitive and simple. In March 1940, Zhao Mingen, the battalion commander of the Bashan guerrillas, was killed while drinking water here. In order to commemorate him, people named this pond "Zhaogongtan". There are many well-known and unknown pools in the Shibayuetan Attraction, including the Five Color Pool, Golden Turtle Pool, Lover Pool, and Prodigy Pool. Each pool has its own characteristics, making tourists linger. Guangwu Mountain Sports Theme Park is located at the entrance of Micang Mountain National Forest Park in Tieluba, Guangwu Mountain, Bazhong City, Sichuan Province. The park features thrilling attractions such as the "Red Leaf Flyer" mountain aerial coaster, the "Red Leaf Sky Drift" glass water slide, and the Sky Mirror situated at an altitude of 1,638m. Leveraging the unique natural views and red leaf resources of Guangwu Mountain, along with the karst landscape, the park offers a comprehensive extreme adventure experience that combines excitement, challenge, and nature exploration. Maple Leaf Coaster, with a total track length of 1,888 meters, winds like a dragon descending from the mountainside, weaving through vibrant maple leaves and colorful forests. Starting from the mountaintop, you'll control your gravity-powered cart—no engine needed, just let momentum be your accelerator. The track features a 109-meter elevation drop, sending you through thrilling 360° spiral turns where ancient trees blur into a rushing green waterfall. In fall, you'll glide across a 60-square-kilometer "red carpet" of autumn foliage. Red Leaf Sky Drift, with its 4,283m ultra-long waterslide, holds the Guinness World Record for the longest glass waterslide. Suspended above the red leaf forests of Guangwu Mountain, this glass waterslide ingeniously combines natural wonders with extreme sports. The Red Leaf Sky Drift attraction features not only the record-breaking waterslide but also five major scenic spots including a mountain climbing magic carpet, sky mirror, Cupid's Arrow of Love, and wind chime corridor. Sky Mirror, the entire viewing platform is designed in the shape of the red leaves of Guangwu Mountain, covering an area of approx. 300m². The two-layer fully transparent platform resembles a divine mirror fragment, reflecting the changing dawn and dusk of Micang Mountain. Perched atop the karst peaks of Guangwu Mountain, this glass observation deck "growing" along the ridge has become a prominent landmark with breathtaking views. Cupid's Arrow of Love. At the summit of the 4,283-meter-long Guinness World Record glass waterslide, a massive heart-shaped observation deck floats above a sea of clouds. The outward-extending staircase resembles Cupid's arrow, pointing directly to the romantic heart of Micang Mountain. Under the matchmaking god Yue Lao's witness, each step is engraved with love letters transcending time—eternal verses from ancient Bashu poets intertwine with modern lovers' sweet confessions. Wind Chime Corridor, a singing sky-high passage where two ancient thousand-year-old trees stretch their gnarled branches at over 1,600 meters above sea level, supporting a dreamlike canopy of handcrafted wind chimes. As mountain breezes sweep across Guangwu Mountain's peaks, hundreds of wind chimes sway gently among the branches, composing an ethereal natural symphony that echoes with ancient legends of the Bashu region.Nanjiang · 40.8km from downtown

I felt that going on November 2nd this year was a bit late. The leaves in the Natural Gallery had already mostly fallen, and there were hardly any red leaves to see in Xianglu Mountain. Only Black Bear Valley and Da Xiao Lan Valley were worth seeing.

The scenery is beautiful, a great place to see the autumn foliage. The scenic area is large and has complete service facilities, making for a very pleasant visit. Although there are many tourists, transportation is still convenient.

The scenery is inferior to Black Bear Valley, and the management of the scenic area is even more chaotic! The shuttle bus costs 20 yuan per person round trip, but there are far more people than available buses. Parking is charged separately, and there's an additional 20 yuan charge for a one-way trip back to the parking lot! This is unreasonable!

You must sit by the window. There are performances at night, which is very suitable for children. You can eat and drink in the ancient town and take the cruise ship at 20:40. It's just right to go back to the hotel and sleep after playing.

To be honest, for those of us who frequently visit various caves, the caves themselves were rather ordinary; they were worth seeing, but not particularly amazing. The rafting experience, however, was quite commendable.

I think this place is really great. Don't miss it when you come to Bazhong. It's in the city. The scenic area is not big, but the grotto on one side of the mountain wall is really shocking. It's more like a small park. It's not tiring to walk there. There are few people. I really recommend it.

The navigation is correct. The road condition is not good 7-8 kilometers away from the scenic area. It is narrow and has potholes. Sometimes you have to stop to let the car go. Fortunately, there are not many people during the National Day holiday. The scenic area is not big, but the scenery is OK. You have to take a boat to enter. You must buy a boat ticket. It is a loop line with two caves. Three hours is enough. In addition, the scenic area ticket package is 180, which is cheaper than online.

Although Black Bear Valley has an unappealing name, the scenery is absolutely stunning and incredibly photogenic! Especially the drive from the Natural Gallery to Black Bear Valley itself; the scenery inside is just as beautiful as Jiuzhaigou! The key is that it's much better value for money than Jiuzhaigou. Let's get close to nature together! Let's forget about class committee members! This is definitely a place you won't regret visiting! Recommendation: Go to the Natural Gallery first, then take the bus to Black Bear Valley!
