The excursion was wonderful and superbly organized. Our guide, Mark, told us a lot about pandas and Buddha. He answered all our questions and always had a little joke ready. Highly recommended.

The shuttle bus departs from the Mirui building and leaves quite on time. The driver is good and not too fast. On the way there, I chose to sit in the driver's seat for a beautiful view.

Private tour group: Went to Xi’an on a private tour group. Driver was well experienced, car was a little old and not well cleaned up (there was previous passenger water bottle half used in the car). Tour guide himself was very knowledgeable, but lacked “customer service”. Not sure what is the norm of tour guides, given my paid itinerary was tour guide for 3 full days, I was expecting the tour guide to be bringing us for 3 full days not for the attraction only. He would explain and tell us about the attraction that was what we had on the itinerary and then if we ended early if we asked to add another attraction (we would pay for entrance) he shared that the driver could drop us there and we could find our way back. So his “job” was for the said 2 attractions (in Xi’an for 3 days, scheduled 2 attractions perday, with some time to see what else, rather than packed daily). So was a little disappointed on that aspect. Overall trip was nice, but the little bits would make better experience

Excellently led tour around the local food scene ( restaurants and small food vendors) with Jay. He has a wealth of knowledge about food, local and national culture and is a nice person to share a beer with, too. Would highly recommend.

Today, our driver, Mr. Ouyang, provided excellent service, planned the time well, and arranged a great lunch. I was very satisfied. Furthermore, our guide in Dujiangyan, Ms. Zhang, was incredibly professional and knowledgeable, a real gem. Her explanations truly impressed me, showcasing the profound depth of Western Sichuan culture and her attitude towards a slower pace of life. The itinerary was thoughtfully arranged! Thumbs up! 👍
