Pine Art Space & Neo-Chinese Tea House, a poetic and romantic retreat found amidst the bustling city.
* Song Art Space is located at No. 19 Yuyuan Old Street, hidden within the bustling city yet offering tranquility amidst the lively surroundings. Featuring the classic architectural style of Jiangnan gardens with red walls and gray tiles, it exudes traditional Chinese retro aesthetics. The two-story space has a first-floor ordering area and second-floor dining area. Large floor-to-ceiling glass windows provide excellent views of Yuyuan's garden architecture and Shanghai's urban skyline, where classical and modern architecture beautifully collide.
The outdoor terrace offers a panoramic view of Yu Garden, providing a unique experience akin to "climbing onto the roof to drink tea." In the afternoon, the interplay of light and shadow creates a lush green and dappled ambiance, serene and elegant, rustic yet poetic. Additionally, the terrace features Shanghai's Haipai-style painting and calligraphy gallery—Yu Garden Gallery. Established in 1994, it has dedicated 30 years to the field of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy, preserving and promoting Chinese cultural heritage.
The tea snacks are exquisitely delicious, including hawthorn balls, nut cookies, and gourd-shaped pastries. The gourd pastries are crafted by a renowned master artist and have been praised as the most delightful mung bean cakes one has ever tasted.
* The new Chinese-style tea drinks here focus on quality and taste, offering a variety of tea options such as white tea, floral tea, honey peach oolong, aged white tea, and brewed tangerine peel pu-erh. Among them, the honey peach oolong is sweet and refreshing, with floral and fruity notes that unfold layer by layer on the palate; the brewed tangerine peel pu-erh has a sweet and fragrant profile, with the fresh aroma of tangerine peel and citrus notes in the tea creating a very refreshing experience.
