I used it quite a lot in Bali and Jakarta, posting to Instagram daily, using Google Maps, taking Grab rides, and watching videos, but I never ran out of data and it was very comfortable. The connection was stable and I got a connection immediately upon arrival. Especially in Indonesia, you'll need to use eVOA (electronic visa), Grab ride-hailing, and translation apps frequently upon entry, so I recommend installing and activating the eSIM before leaving Japan.
It eliminates the hassle of searching for and connecting to airport Wi-Fi, and you can use the internet immediately upon arrival, making immigration, visa application, and ride-hailing much smoother. Setting it up was easy with just a QR code. For sightseeing, this data allowance should be sufficient. For first-time visitors to Indonesia, it's much easier than buying a SIM card at the airport.★

Everything works great! I bought an esim for a trip to Nha Trang, Vietnam. I bought it for an extra day so I could activate it in Moscow while I had internet. Upon arrival in Nha Trang, I simply disabled my main SIM card and enabled roaming on the esim. It worked right away!★
