Slightly chaotic on the arrival as there are lots of people and boats fighting for the same space but once out on the lake it was the best experience! I am so glad we took a boat on our own and had the private family experience. Would also recommend doing a two hour hire over sunset, it was the best!

Our guide, Fabio, made the trip a memorable experience despite the inclement weather! He was so kind, funny and knowledgeable about the history of the area, including the lake and villas. We appreciated that he shared his personal stories as a native of the area.

Our 2 hour tour was perfect from start to finish. We really enjoyed our Capitan. He was very professional yet relaxed so as to make everyone really comfortable. There were four of us on this tour so we had him to ourselves and it really was easy conversation with questions answered and a thorough yet not staged explanation of our tour on beautiful Lake Como. Snacks and Prosecco were enjoyable and sufficient.

We were shown the options available for boats and trips at the dockside, we decided on a 1 hr trip for 2 on the 'Black Pearl' The booking was made and we came back 40mins later to board the boat. The skipper was friendly and knowledgeable, pointing out notable hotels and houses of the rich and famous. We paid when we returned after the trip, there were no hidden costs. We had a great time, would definitely recommend it.


