The overall itinerary was somewhat rushed due to Japanese driver service time regulations. The Takayama leg of the trip was particularly tight, mainly because completing a meal and a full visit to the Takayama Jinya (traditional Japanese houses) within two hours was quite strenuous. Two hours was more than enough for the Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri village. The tour guide was very professional and nice, and his explanations were quite interesting. The group members came from all over the world, with mainland Chinese tourists making up about 10%, making it a very international team.โ

1๏ธโฃ Climb to the top of "Umbrella Pine Park" for a bird's-eye view of the sandbar
โ Take the cable car to the top (round trip ยฅ720), and take a "reverse Fuji" composition from the viewpoint overlooking the sea.
โ Hidden spot: The west side of the observation deck at the top of the mountain offers a stunning view of the sandbar and the Aso Sea side-by-side!
2๏ธโฃ Walk barefoot on the "Natural White Sand Beach"
โ Take off your shoes and walk on 2km of pure white sand. The seawater washing over your ankles at high tide is incredibly soothing.
โ Rent a bicycle (ยฅ500/hour) and chase seagulls along the sandbar, feeling the shape of the wind.

The guide, who spoke Korean, Japanese, and Chinese very well and had such clear diction that I thought she was a former flight attendant, even gave me her phone number, which made me feel at ease during the tour. She recommended good restaurants and gave me sufficient explanations so I didn't have to ask any questions. During lunch time, I left my wallet on the bus and the driver had to go eat, so I was very grateful that the guide tried his best to resolve the difficult situation. Fortunately, it was resolved, but I was sorry for bothering you during the meal. Thank you for telling me it was okay. She is beautiful not only in appearance but also in heart. I want to recommend this tour to people around me because it was so great!!๎ฅ
