Generally speaking, large group tours really put guides to the test, and today's guides, Yang and Lu, all passed the test, haha. The overall itinerary was well-planned, the hike wasn't particularly tiring, and the weather was great—it didn't rain during the climb. The boat and hike groups were separated, each led by a guide; our hiking group had two guides accompanying us, one in front and one behind. From lunchtime onwards, we ate according to the assigned seating. We chatted happily with some friends from Xi'an at our table, and we continued to exchange ideas during the hike. Lunch was quite good; we even got to try the braised beef (apparently, it's not available every day, so we were lucky!). The dishes weren't greasy overall, and it was quite delicious for a group meal. Near the end of the trip, the guides recommended some Chengdu delicacies, haha, which was really thoughtful, bringing a wonderful end to our Chengdu trip. Sichuan is wonderful; I'll definitely come back next time.Trip.com picks
