I felt this was a truly heartwarming trip to Kyoto! From the magnificent golden splendor of Kinkaku-ji to the thousand torii gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine, every stop was breathtaking and thought-provoking. A big thumbs up to Uncle Big Head on WeChat on February 24th! He provided clear information, location, and photos in advance, and was very enthusiastic and meticulous in replying to questions and offering helpful reminders. His driving was very smooth and safe, and the itinerary and arrangement of the three attractions were well-planned. His descriptions of the attractions and restaurants were concise. All three attractions are traditional and representative, rich in local culture and history. Uncle Big Head deserves high praise for his itinerary planning.★

🌳 3 Must-Do Things at Amanohashidate
1️⃣ Climb to the top of "Umbrella Pine Park" for a bird's-eye view of the sandbar
→ Take the cable car to the top (round trip ¥720), and take a "reverse Fuji" composition from the viewpoint overlooking the sea.
→ Hidden spot: The west side of the observation deck at the top of the mountain offers a stunning view of the sandbar and the Aso Sea side-by-side!
2️⃣ Walk barefoot on the "Natural White Sand Beach"
→ Take off your shoes and walk on 2km of pure white sand. The seawater washing over your ankles at high tide is incredibly soothing.
→ Rent a bicycle (¥500/hour) and chase seagulls along the sandbar, feeling the shape of the wind.
3️⃣ Visit "Chieunji Temple" for amulets
→ Vermilion torii gates paired with century-old pine trees; seek amulets for academic success/marriage (from ¥800).
→ Touch the "Manjushri Wisdom Wheel" and spin it three times; legend says it will make you smarter!★

Our guide Liu San is fantastic. He can speak English, Mandarin and Japanese fluently. He can explain the history of the check point, must-do or must-try and matter to be careful information regarding of each check point. For example, beaware with the black kite eagle while feeding the seagulls. In addition, Liu San is very organized as he communicated with us before the trip via WhatsApp and messaged us during the trip regarding the gathering time at each check point and itinerary and information of the check point. We enjoyed the day out a lot.★

The trip to Kyoto was amazing! The Daruma dolls covering the mountain at Katsuo-ji Temple were so cute, the stroll through Arashiyama was incredibly romantic, and the shimmering gold of Kinkaku-ji Temple was breathtaking! The itinerary was perfectly planned, and we had a fantastic time. Our tour guide was also fantastic—professional, funny, and with engaging explanations. She was also incredibly thoughtful and attentive to everyone. I have to give a thumbs up to the tour guide and the itinerary!
