I was extremely satisfied with this Ctrip Jade Dragon Snow Mountain - Blue Moon Valley day trip, and I must commend our guide, Mr. Du (license plate 26101)!
He was punctual with pick-up and drop-off throughout the trip, drove smoothly, provided attentive service, gave detailed and clear explanations, and the itinerary was well-planned and not rushed. He thoughtfully reminded us about altitude sickness, dressing warmly, and recommended photo spots. The trip was a pure sightseeing tour with no shopping stops, which made me feel very at ease. The scenery of Blue Moon Valley and the snow mountain was absolutely stunning, and the driver's excellent service made it even more comfortable. Highly recommended!ā

It was a great experience! The driver was punctual, well informed and was able to translate everything into English. They also maintained great communication throughout the day. The mountain was very beautiful and well worth the trip. The included lunch left much to be desired.ā

This was a shared tour itinerary; it was just the two of us plus one family of three.
-7:10 The driver picked us up from the hotel, and we set off to watch the sunrise.
-8:00-8:30 Spruce Meadow Cableway
-Blue Moon Valley to
-12:00-12:30 Glacier Cableway
-16:45-17:00 Return train. We were very satisfied with the itinerary. Tickets for the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Glacier Cableway are extremely difficult to get, but this tour included both cableway and train tickets. The driver was very steady; he only took us to Ganhaizi for the sunrise, then to the visitor center, and then we were on our own. The person in charge frequently checked on us via WeChat, asking if the driver had picked us up, if we had arrived at the Spruce Meadow Cableway, and reminding us of the Glacier Cableway boarding and alighting times. Very thoughtful. We missed the return train because there were too many people getting off the cable car, but it was okay; we just took a Didi (ride-hailing service) back to the hotel. Highly recommended.ā

Overall, a good experience, but not worth the price.
The guide was punctual and friendly, with a small group of three, which was pleasant. Communication was via a translation app. Water, oxygen, and a jacket were provided.
However, for this price, there are similar excursions that are cheaper. The only real advantage is the small group size. Sunrise from a standard platform, followed by the sightseeing (60 yuan for electric transport, the bus is free). Some parts can be done on foot, so there's no need to pay for everything. The locations are beautiful but very touristy. I finished the tour an hour early, having something to eat and relaxing with a coffee. The organization was good, the meal was very short and not amazing, the feast wasn't particularly interesting, and there are other things to see and do in the area.
The show is the best part: truly beautiful and moving, not to be missed. Return around 3 pm.

Our tour guide, Ye Fan, was incredibly dedicated! A huge shout-out to him! This trip was a fantastic experience! From the moment we boarded the bus, we felt his warmth and enthusiasm. He not only helped us with our luggage and found seats in advance, but also thoughtfully explained the precautions for going up the snow mountain.
The itinerary was perfectly balanced, without rushing us to see everything. He was always quick to help whenever anyone in the group needed assistance, making it feel like we were traveling with old friends.
The snow mountain was absolutely stunning, like something out of a painting. On a clear day, you can even see the golden sunrise over the mountains. It's definitely worth the trip!ā

It's definitely better to book a tour through a reputable platform; the overall itinerary was excellent. The drive from Lijiang to Shangri-La was scenic, the only downside being the slightly cramped bus. Plenty of time was allocated at each scenic spot; with only four people in the bus, we just needed to coordinate our meeting times. Baishuitai and Tiger Leaping Gorge are definitely worth visiting! Continuing up from Baishuitai, the views from the top are breathtaking! The farm-style lunch was absolutely delicious!! You must try the yak meat and the local wild vegetables! It was truly excellent!ī„
