Traveling to Longhu Mountain in Jiangxi, the ruins of the Great Shangqing Palace are located within the Longhu Mountain in Shangqing Town. This is the place where the founder of the Zhengyi Dao of Taoism practiced Taoism. It was originally named "Tianshi Caotang", and later changed to "Zhenxian Temple", "Shangqing Temple", "Shangqing Zhengyi Palace" and other names. It is large in scale. During the Taiping Rebellion and the First Civil War between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, the Great Shangqing Palace was destroyed. In 1930, the main building was burned to ruins by fire, and only the Fudi Gate, Wuchao Gate, Bell Tower, Xiama Pavilion, Dongyin Garden, etc. remained. What you see now is the ruins, with only some of the remaining original stones for display.
