Daciyan Scenic Area
Daciyan Scenic Area is located 24 km south of Jiande. The mountain features a glittering double-sided Buddha statue, and the temple architecture halfway up the mountain is half embedded in the cliff and half suspended in the air, similar to the Hanging Temple of Mount Heng, earning it the nickname "Hanging Temple of Jiangnan". The attraction everywhere embodies the character "suspended"; plank roads, temples, and the giant Buddha are all built against steep cliffs. Although most of them have been rebuilt, they still make people marvel at the creativity of the ancients. Tour Route The scenic area features a roughly circular route. For visiting Daciyan Scenic Area, we recommend taking the cable car up the mountain and then walking downhill counterclockwise, which saves both time and energy. After ascending, there are still uphill and downhill mountain paths to navigate, with some exposed areas that can get quite sunny in summer. The main highlight is walking along the winding cliffside boardwalks to admire the mountain-embedded pathways, temples, Buddha statues, as well as the distant rolling green mountains and tiny towns below - creating truly spectacular views. Xuankong Plank Road From the foot of the mountain, you can see the glittering double-sided Buddha statue on the mountaintop from afar. After getting off the cable car, a short walk up the mountain leads to the suspended plank road. The plank road offers an excellent spot to photograph the panoramic view of the main buildings in Daci Cliffs Scenic Area, so don't miss it. After walking across the plank road, don't forget to turn back and take a close-up photo of it; the flying eaves and corridor pavilions clinging to the mountainside are also iconic views of Daciyan Scenic Area. Continue walking a bit further, and the natural standing Buddha is another unique feature here: from the side, the main peak of the entire Daciyan Scenic Area closely resembles a standing statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. Strange rocks, peculiar caves, and plants harmoniously form the facial features of the Great Buddha, and visitors invariably stop to admire it. Temple interior view Daciyan Scenic Area features two major highlights: the Two-Faced Buddha and the Ksitigarbha Hall. Visitors can walk along the plank path to see the Two-Faced Buddha up close or visit the Ksitigarbha Hall to pray for blessings. Behind the Heavenly Gate, cherry blossom trees are adorned with red ribbons tied by visitors, creating a serene Buddhist atmosphere. The statues in the Arhat Hall also showcase remarkable artistic expression. After visiting the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Hall in Daci Cliffs Scenic Area, exit the temple gate. On your right, there is a trail leading down the mountain (approx. 30 min). The trail is quite hidden; if you can't find it, you can ask the staff. The scenery along the downhill path is also beautiful, with a stream accompanying you. In October, when the ginkgo trees turn yellow, the view is even more charming. If you wish to take the cableway down, you will need to return to the upper cableway station via the same route. Additionally, Xinyue Ancient Village, the filming location for "Where Are We Going, Dad?" in 2014, is not far from Daciyan Scenic Area, so you can visit both. Lingqi Cave Scenic Area

The cable car takes you up to the Hanging Temple, but the view up close isn't very intuitive. You get a clearer panoramic view from below the mountain or when the cable car stops halfway down. I recommend bringing hiking poles, as you'll have to climb up and down again after the cable car ride.

Two of the three caves require climbing many steps, both inside and outside the caves. The scenery is quite monotonous, making it more suitable for summer visits. Bring warm clothing for Qingfeng Cave as the temperature difference is significant and you might catch a cold! For seniors, taking a boat to see the first cave is a more relaxed option!

Take a boat from Yaowu Wharf on Qili Yangfan Island. The journey takes 3.5 hours, offering views of a real-life version of the Fuchun Mountain Dwelling painting. There are two stops: a 2-hour stop at Hulu Gorge to see the waterfall cascading down from Hulukou.

This time, I visited Daci Rock Scenic Area during the winter vacation. Because it was winter, there weren't many tourists, making the experience much better. We could leisurely stroll along the mountain paths and enjoy the scenery. We chose the easiest route: first, we took the cable car up the mountain, then went down the slide to the bottom. Aside from the slightly expensive prices of the rides and the lack of half-price tickets for children, the overall experience was quite good. Of all the attractions in Jiande, Daci Rock is still my favorite.

The moment you get out of the cabin, you can forget all the unhappiness and experience the excitement. The scenery you see when you jump down is different from the scenery you see when you stand on a tall building. It is really interesting. I will come again if I have the chance.

This was my first time visiting Jiande, an ancient village with a thousand-year history. The air was fresh, and there weren't many people. We deliberately avoided peak season, which made for a better experience. My child tried rubbing for the first time – a magical and fun experience!

This scenic spot is good, with a great environment, beautiful riverside scenery, charming night lighting, and most importantly, it is a free scenic spot. The only drawback is that there is no direct bus to the scenic spot from the high-speed rail station (you still have to walk more than 1 kilometer to take bus No. 212), and the bus stop in the scenic spot is not easy to find.
