Things to do in Sanjiang

A fantastic place to learn about the Dong ethnic group. We visited three villages, saw the drum towers, observed the local dwellings, and explored the museum… There were also very beautiful ancient bridges and wells. It was definitely worth the trip. We parked in the underground parking lot of the scenic area, but to get inside, we still needed to take an electric cart, and it took about an hour and a half to walk through the three villages.

The air quality index is excellent, the environment is elegant and comfortable, and it is suitable for mountain climbing enthusiasts to check in. The park lacks amusement projects and can add some sightseeing facilities such as olive carts and Ferris wheels.

"Yueye" means the collective travel of the Dong people. Yueye Dong Village gathers the essence of the Dong people's "Yueye culture", including the Dong people's competitive culture of bullfighting, the hospitality culture of 100-family banquets, the marriage culture of the Dong people, and the Dong people's architectural culture. It is worth a visit. Bullfighting: Western bullfighting can be seen in Spain, while Eastern bullfighting can be seen in China's Sanjiang. Hundred-family banquet: The highest hospitality etiquette of the Chinese Dong people. Zuomei: China's first large-scale live performance of Dong customs.

Sanjiang Drum Tower The Sanjiang Drum Tower is a typical representative of the wooden architecture of the Dong ethnic group. It is located in the center of Sanjiang County, Guangxi. The 27-story eaves are stacked one after another, and it looks like an exquisite wooden tower from a distance. The entire building does not use a single iron nail, and is connected entirely by mortise and tenon structure. Four century-old fir main pillars support the huge building. During the day, you can go up to the tower to enjoy the view, and the panoramic view of the county town is in full view; when the lights are turned on at night, the decorations on the eaves are more gorgeous under the lights, which is suitable for taking photos and checking in. There are also Fengyu Bridge, Moon Street Night Market and Fulu Temple nearby, so you can go shopping together.

A full day is recommended for your visit. You can join the local bonfire party in the evening. The eight villages are quite large, so you can easily explore them at your own pace. Be sure to climb to the top for a panoramic view of the entire village – it's breathtaking!

It's a small town on an island. From across the river, it doesn't look very big, but the island itself is actually quite large. With the Lunar New Year approaching, many families were making and selling cured pork and duck. The island has an academy and an old city gate. In ancient times, with its developed water transport, it must have been a very prosperous place. The island's villagers and we took the ferry together. Cars can also cross the river, which was quite an experience.

The most famous place in Sanjiang Dongxiang is the Wind and Rain Bridge. There is a newly built Wind and Rain Bridge in the county. It is said to be the largest wind and rain bridge in the country. The night view is very beautiful. You can drive here and tourists can walk across the river. It is a very good place. It is free. The whole Sanjiang Xiaotianchang is quite unique. But if you want to see the authentic old wind and rain bridge, you still have to go to Chengyang to take it to the scenic spot in Hebei County. You need to go there at night.

Judging from the location, Sanjiang Wind and Rain Bridge should refer to the wind and rain bridge in the city that can be used by people and vehicles. Looking at the comments and scenic spot introductions, many people are talking about the ancient wind and rain bridge in Chengyang Bazhai, which makes it a bit confusing. It took about ten minutes to walk all the way from Sanjiang Drum Tower and look at it while walking. The whole cross-river wind and rain bridge is quite shocking from the shore. In terms of structure, it should be a modern building.

The Dongxiang Bird's Nest has a unique appearance, and the sound effects of the internal design are also very good! The large-scale musical "Zuomei" is worth watching!

Moon Street starts from Guyi Bridge in the north and ends at Sanjiang Fengyu Bridge in the south. Its design concept is to be a Dong culture street that organically combines traditional Dong dwellings with modern functions. Among them, the Dong Historical and Cultural Stele Gallery is one of the longest and largest cultural stele galleries in the Dong area. The gallery is rich in pictures and texts, reflecting the culture, production and living customs of the Dong people.
