Shanyang County is located at the southern foot of the Qinling Mountains. It is bordered by Danfeng and Shangnan to the east, Zhen'an and Zhashui to the west, Yunxi of Hubei to the south, and Shangzhou to the north. Since ancient times, it has been an important channel "connecting Qin and Jin in the north and Wu and Chu in the south". It is a major water and drought throat channel connecting the nine provinces of Shaanxi and Hubei. Tianzhu Mountain is located in the southeast of Shanyang County, 30 kilometers away from the county seat.Falcon RidgeFalcon Mountain is located in the middle of Falcon Mountain, with a total area of 42 square kilometers. Its main peak is 2,073.98 meters above sea level. It is the highest mountain in the Falcon Mountain System and a paradise on earth where the Qinling ecology and the long-standing religious culture are intertwined. Tianzhu Mountain has 7 peaks facing each other and 3 ridges. It is divided into four sections: the gate image area of Sengdaoguan, the comprehensive service area for tourists, the health resort area, and the forest sightseeing area. The walking tour line allows you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Qinling ecology during the mountaineering process. The cable car can directly reach the core viewing area and tour the north line. After the tour, you can also visit Shao Yong's enlightenment on the south line. If you choose to walk up and down the mountain, the total play time is about 4 to 6 hours. If you go up and down the mountain by cable car, the tour time is about 3 to 4 hours. Go up the mountain from Dongshan Gate, visit Baicao Valley, Tieqiao Forest, Musk Deer Valley, climb over Eighteen Bends, take a short rest at the Welcoming Pavilion, and after admiring the Thousand-foot Cliff, you can reach the upper station of the cable car and meet up with tourists taking the cable car. Going up from the upper station of the cable car, you will reach Xuantian Cave. Xuantian Cave is a man-made viewing tunnel. In the past, it was very difficult for people to climb Tianzhu Mountain. Until 2009, the 280-meter-long Xuantian Cave was opened, allowing tourists to save at least 2 hours of mountain walking. After exiting Xuantian Cave, the Fairy Island Yaotai of Tianzhu Mountain is not far ahead. Here is the Welcoming Immortal Pine Viewing Platform of Tianzhu Mountain. Qinling Mountains were called Nanshan Mountains before the Qin Dynasty, and were renamed Qinling Mountains after the establishment of the Qin State. People often say "May you be as blessed as the long-flowing water of the East China Sea, and as long-lived as the immortal pines of Nanshan Mountains", which actually refers to the pine trees on the Qinling Mountains. The immortal pines of Tianzhu Mountain are scientifically known as "dragon blood trees". They appeared in the Cretaceous dinosaur era and are known as living fossils among plants. They are listed as protected tree species by UNESCO. After seeing the Welcoming Pine, we can see the iconic landscape of Tianzhu Mountain, "Tianzhu Moxiao". It is a huge naturally formed stone pillar, more than 300 meters high in the middle and more than 400 meters in circumference, shaped like a bamboo joint, with an ancient pine hanging upside down. This suddenly protruding giant granite, eroded by wind and frost, cracked and peeled off, was carved by nature into a giant Buddha finger that supports the sky. "Tianzhu Moxiao" has been known as one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Fengyang" since the establishment of the county in the Western Jin Dynasty. Rest at Xindao Pavilion, pass by Tianzhu Lover, Shougui Cave, Niubi Cave, and Nanshe Teng, climb the Tongtian Cloud Ladder, and arrive at Nantianmen. Sing a song in the clouds at the Yunhai booth, walk through the Hongyun Corridor, and climb up Daobeiliang. Daobei Ridge is one of the iconic landscapes of Tianzhu Mountain. The entire ridge is like a knife cut, surrounded by abysses on three sides. Walking on the man-made plank road and looking to the side is terrifying. Lingyun Pavilion stands on Daobeiliang, facing the wind, proudly standing in the clouds, gazing at the clouds rising and falling, and the passage of time; below the pavilion, the peaks and valleys are deep, filled with clouds and mist, with twisted branches of green trees and hawks circling... This is also a very beautiful sunrise viewing point and cloud sea viewing point after rain in Tianzhu Mountain. Going up, we see the highest area of Tianzhu Mountain - Tianzhu Shengjing. Here is the highest landmark building in Tianzhu Mountain - Tianzhu Dading, with an altitude of 2073.98 meters, as well as the mountaintop wooden house built for forest protection, the Yunding Observation Tower and Yunding Square built after this upgrade, as well as the Lanyue Pavilion and Black Dragon Cave. Go west, here is the Tianzhu Mountain Buddhist and Taoist resort "Yungai Temple", located at the highest peak of Tianzhu Mountain. Due to its high altitude, there are often fog and clouds covering the top all year round, so it is named Yungai Temple. Yungai Temple is the main place for external exchanges and gathering of Taoists and Taoist temples in Tianzhu Mountain. It is the office of Tianzhu Mountain Taoist Management Committee and Tianzhu Mountain Taoist Painting and Calligraphy Institute, and it is also one of the main palaces of the four Taoist temples in Tianzhu Mountain. Continuing westward from Yungai Temple, we will pass the Sleeping Buddha Pavilion, Shouyang Cave, and Xiunv Peak. The Chenglu Pan on Xiunv Peak is a 360-degree panoramic glass viewing platform. Continue down to Shuangfeng Temple, which is named after the "Xiunv Peak" and "Feishen Peak" on its south side. From Shuangfeng Temple, you can go to Shao Yong's Enlightenment Line. This route takes about an hour to go back and forth, and you can experience the enlightenment journey of Shao Yong, a Neo-Confucianist in the Southern Song Dynasty. The sub-attractions you can see along this route include the Enlightenment Pavilion, the Observation Platform, the Stone Forest, the Wuji Cliff, and the Long Poetry Road. After finishing the above trip, return to the upper station and take the cable car down the mountain to the Tourist Service Center Square.Shanyang · 20.4km from downtown

Historical background: The Shaanxi History Museum, located northwest of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, is one of Xi'an's iconic tourist attractions. Construction began in 1977, the foundation stone was laid in November 1986, and it officially opened to the public on June 20, 1991, where it was named the Shaanxi History Museum. In 2016, it was selected as one of the "20th Century Architectural Heritage of China" by the China Cultural Relics Society and the Architectural Society of China. Museum Features: It is a large-scale modern museum, and its completion marks a new milestone in the development of China's museum industry. The building is a Tang-style architectural complex with a central hall and four corner towers. The main and secondary buildings are well-ordered, the buildings are staggered in height, and the overall atmosphere is solemn. It integrates national tradition, local characteristics and the spirit of the times. Covering an area of 65,000 square meters, the museum houses over 1.7 million artifacts, ranging from simple stone tools used by early humans to various objects from daily life before 1840, spanning more than a million years. The artifacts are not only quantity and diverse, but also of high quality and broad value; the museum's collection is dazzling and exquisite. It is an art palace showcasing the history and culture of Shaanxi and ancient Chinese civilization, hailed as "a pearl of the ancient capital and a treasure trove of Chinese civilization." The museum houses many precious artifacts, including bronzes from the Shang and Zhou dynasties, terracotta figurines from various dynasties, gold and silver artifacts from the Han and Tang dynasties, and murals from Tang tombs. Most of these are treasures from the prosperous Han and Tang dynasties, and some are even prohibited from leaving the country. Treasures from the collection: The museum has three exhibition halls in the center. The first hall displays artifacts from the Lantian Man, a prehistoric civilization 1.15 million years ago, to the Qin Dynasty; the second hall displays artifacts from the Han Dynasty and the Wei, Jin, and Northern and Southern Dynasties; and the third hall mainly features artifacts from the Tang Dynasty. Each hall has its own prized possession. Special exhibition halls are located on the east and west sides of the central hall. The west side houses a special exhibition titled "Treasures of the Tang Dynasty" (…).Treasure GalleryThe exhibition, featuring artifacts unearthed from Hejia Village, showcases many exquisite gold and silver artifacts from the Tang Dynasty. The east side houses an exhibition of "Treasures of Tang Dynasty Murals," displaying a collection of genuine Tang Dynasty tomb murals. Yu Ding The Yu Ding (旟鼎) is placed in the first exhibition hall upon entering the museum, and can be considered the centerpiece of the first exhibition hall. The one displayed here is a replica; the original is kept in storage. The inscription on the outer wall reads, "Under the whole heaven, all land belongs to the king; on the shores of the land, all people are subjects of the king," reflecting the land ownership system during the Western Zhou Dynasty. The inner wall of the Yu Ding has four lines of inscriptions, totaling 28 characters. The gist of the inscription is: In the first month of a certain year, King Jiang took back the land that had originally been given to Shi Lu and gave it to Yu. Yu then made this Ding to commemorate the occasion. Empress's Imperial Seal: One of the must-see treasures in the second exhibition hall is this Han Dynasty empress's jade seal, displayed separately. This jade seal is made entirely of Xinjiang Hetian mutton-fat jade and is engraved with a dragon-tiger, symbolizing royal power. Sancai (three-color glazed) camel figurine carrying musicians: This world-famous tricolor glazed pottery camel figurine carrying musicians is located in the museum's third exhibition hall, and its overall appearance and colors are well preserved. Seven men sit on the camel's back, each holding a different musical instrument. The figurine holding the clappers is listening intently, as if captivated by the beautiful music. The woman in the center is performing, and the camel, with its mouth wide open and its head tilted back, seems to be singing along with its master. Gold-inlaid animal head agate cup: This artifact, featured in the special exhibition "Treasures of the Tang Dynasty," is one of the first 64 national treasures listed by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage as permanently prohibited from being exhibited abroad. One of the four major grottoes of China and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Longmen Grottoes are a trove of 1000 years of Buddhist art treasures. Bounded by the Yi River, the caverns are divided into two sections at East Hill and West Hill. The caverns at East Hill contain mostly Tang dynasty (618-907) works, while the caverns at West Hill were cut out during the Northern, Sui, and Tang dynasties and contain the carvings that are most representative of the site. The Buddha and bodhisattva sculptures that inhabit the caverns are carved into an endless variety of poses and expressions of mercy and kindness, while the caves themselves lend a stately and dignified atmosphere. The artistry of these sculptures is truly a priceless inheritance of Buddhist art.China · Luoyang

Huaqing Palace attraction is located 30 km east of Xi'an, adjacent to the Terracotta Warriors. Renowned for its timeless hot spring resources and numerous historical events, it has become an iconic cultural tourism attraction of Tang Dynasty palaces in China. Palace scenic spots Huaqing Palace boasts a long history, serving as an imperial retreat for emperors from the Zhou, Qin, Han, Sui, and Tang dynasties. The palace features cultural zones like the Tang Imperial Hot Spring Relics Museum, the Xi'an Incident site—Five-Room Hall, Nine Dragon Lake and Lotus Lake scenic areas, and the Tang Pear Garden Museum. Notable architectural complexes include Feishuang Hall, Wanshou Hall, Changsheng Hall, Huanyuan Garden, and Yuwang Hall. The stele of "hot spring ode" Mount Li hot springs, developed early and favored by emperors throughout history, enjoy the reputation of being "the imperial hot springs under heaven." As far back as the Yangshao culture period 6,000 years ago, the ancient Jiangzhai people began utilizing these springs. With their profound cultural heritage spanning millennia, Mount Li hot springs represent an indispensable part of Chinese historical culture. The stele of hot spring ode in the attraction stands 154 cm tall, 72 cm wide, and 19 cm thick, featuring a coiled dragon design and a trapezoidal base. Engraved by Yuan Chang, the governor of Yongzhou during the Northern Wei Dynasty, the inscription reads, "The hot spring is nature's prescription and the primordial healer of the universe. People from all nations and those suffering from ailments come with provisions to seek relief in its waters." This stele is the earliest surviving written artifact at Huaqing Palace. Tang Imperial Hot Spring Relics Museum This is the site of the bathing pool described in the "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" where Yang Guifei emerged from her bath. After the An Lushan Rebellion, little remained of the original structure. In 1982, while constructing the "Guifei Pavilion," the Lintong County Government accidentally discovered the ruins of a Tang Dynasty bathing pool. After excavation and restoration, the Huaqing Palace imperial hot spring ruins museum was established. This small yet exquisitely designed pool measures 3.6 meters east-west and 2.9 meters north-south, with an oval-like shape. The pool walls are entirely built with bluestone slabs, featuring a two-tiered terrace structure composed of 18 arched stone sections. Inside the pool lies a dedicated bathing stone for Yang Guifei, engraved with the character "Yang." At the center of the pool bottom is a 10 cm diameter water inlet. A white marble lotus pedestal was unearthed here, connecting to both a showerhead above and ceramic water pipes below that linked to the main water source. Due to natural pressure, hot spring water would spray outward through the lotus showerhead, creating a mist effect remarkably similar to modern showers. Adjacent to the Guifei Pool to the east lies Emperor Xuanzong's exclusive imperial hot spring. During the Tang Dynasty, the Nine Dragon Hall stood above this pool, featuring nine white jade-carved dragons spouting water outside. This pool's surface resembles a realistic lotus shape, hence its alternate name "Lotus Pool." Xi'an incident site The five-room hall at the Xi'an incident site in Huaqing Palace is where the Xi'an incident took place. To this day, the glass windows and walls of the five-room hall still bear bullet marks from the fierce battle during the military remonstrance. The desks, chairs, beds, sofas, tea sets, stoves, carpets, telephones, and other office items in each room are replicated and arranged according to their original appearance. Historical events: Beacon fire to deceive the feudal lords In 779 BC, King You of Zhou obtained the beautiful Bao Si, yet she never smiled. Based on Bai Juyi's timeless poem of the same name, it fully utilizes the attraction's resources and employs high-tech stage lighting to combine historical storytelling with live performances, recreating the love story of Emperor Li Longji and Yang Guifei at Huaqing Palace over 1,300 years ago. ▲There is also the historical adaptation "12-12 Xi'an Incident," which vividly and authentically recreates the lesser-known details of the "Xi'an Incident."China · Xi'an

Mount Hua, formerly known as "Xiyue", is one of the five famous mountains in China. It is located in Huayin City, Shaanxi Province. Huashan is also known as "Taihuashan". It is the birthplace of Chinese civilization. The "Hua" in "Zhonghua" and "Huaxia" comes from Huashan. The words "strange and dangerous" are the essence of Huashan's scenery. "Since ancient times, there has been only one road to Huashan" describes the steepness of Huashan. The Attraction has many thrilling attractions such as Changkong Plank Road, Kitesurfing, Qianchi Chuang, Baichi Gorge, Laojun Ligou, etc., which are carved out on the steep cliffs. Those who visit them in person will be amazed. Huashan Attraction covers a vast area, including the Main Peak Attraction, Xiyue Temple Attraction, Xianyu Attraction, etc. The Main Peak Attraction is the core Attraction of Huashan, including "Huashan One Road" and the five main peaks in the southeast, northwest, and center. Huashan in most people's minds refers to the Main Peak Attraction. Five main peaks The East Peak is about 2,100 meters above sea level and is named for its location in the east. There is a platform on the top of the peak, which is high and dangerous with a wide view. It is a good place to watch the sunrise. It is called Chaoyang Terrace, and the East Peak is also called Chaoyang Peak. The East Peak consists of four peaks, one main peak and three s-ervant peaks. The peak where Chaoyang Terrace is located is higher, the Yunv Peak is in the west, the Shilou Peak is in the east, and the Botai is in the south. There are more than dozens of landscapes on the East Peak. There is a natural stone pattern on the cliff on the side of the East Shilou Peak, which looks like a giant palm print. This is the Huayue Immortal Palm, which is listed as the first of the eight scenic spots in Guanzhong. The story of the giant spirit opening the mountain and guiding the river originated from this. The West Peak is about 2,000 meters above sea level. Because there is a huge rock on the top of the peak that looks like a lotus petal, ancient literati often called it Lotus Peak or Hibiscus Peak. Xu Xiake wrote in his "Diary of Traveling to Mount Taihua": "There is a rock rising on the peak, and there are stone pieces covering it, like a lotus flower." This stone must be referring to it. There are many landscapes on the West Peak, including Cuiyun Palace, Lotus Cave, Giant Spirit Foot, Axe-Split Stone, Sheshen Cliff, etc., and there are many beautiful myths and legends. Among them, the well-known story of Chenxiang splitting the mountain to save his mother is circulated here. The South Peak is over 2,100 meters above sea level and is the highest peak of Huashan. The ancients called it the "Head of Huashan". On one side of the South Peak is a thousand-foot cliff, standing straight like a knife, and below is a deep ravine, which is separated from Sangong Mountain and Sanfeng Mountain. The South Peak consists of one peak and two peaks. The east side is called Songhui Peak, and the west side is Luoyan Peak. The origin of the name of Luoyan Peak is said to be because the migrating wild geese often land here to rest. The North Peak is about 1,600 meters above sea level, with cliffs on all sides, covered with clouds above and connected to the earth veins below. It stands tall and unique, and is also called Yuntai Peak because it looks like a cloud platform. Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty wrote in his poem "A Song of the Cloud Platform of Mount Xiyue to Complimentary Danqiuzi": "Three peaks stand as if about to collapse, and the green cliffs and red valleys are high. The golden essence of the White Emperor mobilizes his vitality, and the stones become lotus flowers and the clouds become platforms." The famous story of "Taking Huashan by Strategy" took place here. There are many landscapes on the mountain, including the Zhenwu Hall, Jiaogong Stone Chamber, Changchun Stone Chamber, and the place where Laojun hung the plow. The Middle Peak is the only way to the other four peaks. It is located in the middle of the East, West and South Peaks. The forests on the peak are lush and green, and the environment is quiet. There is a Taoist temple named Yunu Temple on the top of the peak. It is said that it was the place where Qin Mu Gong's daughter Nong Yu cultivated herself in the Spring and Autumn Period, so it is also called Yunu Peak. Main landscape: There are more than 210 famous Attraction in Huashan. From ancient times to the present, countless literati and poets have left various classic poems here. Skywalk The Changkong Plank Road is located on the east side of the Huashan South Peak. It was built by the master of the Huashan School, Taoist He Zhizhen of the Yuan Dynasty, who wanted to get away from the world and practice Taoism. He built it by inlaying stone piles on the cliffs and paving wooden boards. At the end of the plank road, you can see the "Hezu Cave" where Master He practiced self-cultivation. The road builders chiseled stone holes on the cliffs, wedged stone piles into the holes, and laid wooden boards about 40 cm wide between the stone piles. Visitors must stick to the cliff wall, pull the iron chain with their hands, step on the wooden boards, and move forward slowly sideways. Xiyue Temple Xiyue Temple, also known as Huayue Temple, is a temple where emperors of all dynasties worshipped and offered sacrifices to Shaohao, the Great Emperor of Xiyue. It was first built during the Yuanguang period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty (134-129 BC) at the entrance of Huangshengu (now Huangfuyu) at the foot of Huashan Mountain. It was moved to its current location during the reign of Emperor Huan of the Eastern Han Dynasty (147-167 AD) and renamed today. It was rebuilt many times during the Tang, Song, Ming and Qing dynasties. Canglong Ridge The steps on Canglong Ridge are only 2 feet wide, with deep ravines on both sides, as steep as a knife. The height difference between the ridge and the top is about 500 meters, and the slope is more than 45 degrees. Looking at the green pines and white clouds in the distance and hearing the sound of the wind is dizzying. Jinsuoguan Jinsuoguan is one of the five passes of Huashan Mountain. It is built on a stone archway at the entrance of the three peaks. It is the throat of the Wuyun Peak to the four peaks of East, West, South and Center. There is no way to pass after the pass, so it is also called Tongtianmen. Taoists believe that Huashan is the fairyland of gods. Only after passing Tongtianmen can you enter the fairyland. Therefore, there is a folk song that "after passing Jinsuoguan, there is another world". There has been only one road to Mount Huashan since ancient times "There has been only one road to Mount Hua since ancient times" refers to the "Huashan Valley" hiking trail, which includes various scenic spots along the Huashan hiking trail since ancient times. When connected together, it is what is commonly referred to as "There has been only one road to Mount Hua since ancient times." How to visit Huashan has two mountain gates (entrances): East Gate and West Gate (also known as Huashan Gate). Take the cable car up the mountain and go to the East Gate; if you climb the mountain on foot, enter from the West Gate. Huashan currently has two cable cars, the East and West Lines, which reach the North Peak and the West Peak respectively (please plan the climbing route in advance before purchasing the ticket and purchase the corresponding ticket type, and you cannot change it midway.). It takes about 4 hours to hike from Yuquanyuan, through Wuli Pass, Shaluoping (night climbing), Qianchi Chuang, Baichi Gorge, etc. to the North Peak, and then start the tour from the North Peak. Route 2: "Up West and Down West", a mountaineering route suitable for the Seniors and tourists with children This route goes up the West Peak Cableway of Mount Huashan and down the West Peak Cableway, that is, going up from the west and down from the west. The whole route takes a relatively short time, about 4 hours, and is also more energy-saving, making it more friendly to the Seniors and tourists with children. Route 3: "Up West and Down North", a one-day mountaineering route chosen by 80% of tourists This route goes up by cable car from the West Peak of Mount Huashan and down by cable car from the North Peak, that is, going up from the west and down from the north. The entire route is a classic one-day tour route, which takes about 6 hours. You can visit all the attractions without backtracking. Most tourists choose this route because this road almost goes straight down, which is easier and faster than the uphill road. Route 4: "North up and north down", a time-saving, economical and panoramic mountaineering route This route goes up by cable car at the North Peak of Huashan and down by cable car at the North Peak, that is, going up from the north and down from the north. The whole route is a relatively low-cost cable car mountaineering route. If your sightseeing time is limited, you can choose this route and visit the North Peak, which has the Memorial Pavilion, Ear-Crushing Cliff, Canglong Ridge, Huashan Sword Contest Monument, panoramic Huashan and other attractions.China · Huayin

Value for money: A ¥120 car allowance is available for those driving, making it excellent value. The ¥130 cable car ticket is a must-buy, otherwise your legs will give out. Scenery: It combines the danger of Huashan with the beauty of Huangshan, and that's no exaggeration. There are quite a few steps, which isn't particularly friendly to the elderly or children. Fun: Real rock climbing with beginner and advanced slopes to choose from. For those who have climbed the beginner slope, it's still very thrilling. People with a fear of heights should be cautious; recommended for the brave.

It takes about two hours to visit Tianpeng Mountain Village, which is about 6 kilometers in total. The canyon section is very long and took a long time to walk. The scenery of Tianpeng Mountain Village is still very beautiful, with a feeling of being high above. The waterfall is just so-so, and many places are man-made. We entered from the north gate, went down from the south gate, and then took a car to the north gate to drive. The local driver suggested that the car should be parked at the south gate, and then take a car (30 per person, half an hour drive) to the north gate and all the way down. Don't go from the south gate mountain, otherwise you will walk for two hours and then climb the mountain, and you can't climb it at all

We woke at 7 for a 730 Didi taxi pickup from our hotel in Bell Tower. 50 minutes later we arrived and joined the queue - we were among the first 100 people to get in and see Pit 1 which was as dramatic as we imagined. Everything went smoothly. We then went to Pit 3 and finally pit 2. And then the museum. We worked out the free shuttle bus to Loch Gardens where we walked to the Bronze Chariots. Somewhat surprised at the small size of this exhibit. And we walked to the plinth that represents the Mausoleum - not understanding at first the vast forest pyramid upon which the mausoleum stood - best to go further away to see this. All in all an enjoyable 4 hours before easily getting a Didi taxi and avoiding the touts and taxi drivers trying to screw us on piece. 91CNY to get back. All good. We had bought snacks with us into the place with no problem.

Moon Cave is a beautiful and large cave, feeling even larger than the Zhashui and Lantian Caves I've visited. However, reaching the cave entrance requires climbing a long flight of stairs (see the pictures I posted). Climbing the stairs in such high temperatures (35°F outside) is incredibly strenuous; one person even suffered from heatstroke along the way. The interior of the cave is quite cool, even a bit chilly, so elderly people and children should bring a light jacket. It's worth a visit, but it's best not to go during hot weather. Also, be prepared for a steep climb, as the cave entrance is quite high.

The Shaanxi History Museum is unique in China; reservations are virtually impossible without advance booking. To finally see it again, I decided to pay for more time, but I still didn't expect so many visitors on a weekday afternoon. Without the guide's explanations, I probably would have gotten lost in the crowds. The guide was very professional, knowledgeable, and humorous, making what could have been a rather dry visit an excellent experience. Thank you so much!

I finally saw the Longmen Grottoes, which I'd only read about in textbooks, with my own eyes. The cliffs along both banks of the Yi River are dotted with ancient grottoes and niches. The smile of the Vairocana Buddha was truly breathtaking—dignified and compassionate, as if it were silently gazing upon you from wherever you stood. The landscape and stone carvings blend seamlessly, each step revealing a piece of history.

You can rent bicycles for a loop, but you have to return them at Wenchang Gate. So you'll need to rent them at Yongning Gate. There are also vlogs available for download (29 yuan) that you can scan a QR code to watch. A total rip-off.

Had a great visual experience with this show. Light operation was great. Effects wonderful. Even if you not in Chinese history of this period (1936), you will be stunned with show details. The hard moment is to get to this show 1. The time of performance is different and you have to ask it at the theatre pavilion. 2. Pavilion is rather hard to find from east gate (but easy if you first visit mountain and are descending from it. 3. It is better to buy ticket at place, because I had a problem with my reservation (trip com does not buy your ticket, some supplier buy and the voucher may be incorrect)

This was the attraction with the longest queues during my trip to Xi'an. The 20-minute cable car ride was a bit scary. We only visited West Peak with our group of elderly people; we'll try to visit Zhenta Peak another time.
