At the entrance stood the sculptures of the first president and vice president of Indonesia. In the center of the museum park was a large square lawn with a white monument standing in front. It was surrounded by flowers, trees, and sculptures of Indonesia's founding heroes. The tour guide was telling the children historical stories, and I translated for them if they didn't understand. A large group of children in red school uniforms also came, and the teacher took them to receive patriotic education.

This place is huge! Came with a group of friends on a Saturday night and it was packed. We had to wait a bit for a table, but once we got seated, the vibe was so fun and lively. Perfect for catching up over some tasty satay and nasi goreng. Just be ready for the crowd!

I've been living in Surabaya for 10 years and I went to this place just once, with my husband and kid. There was this monument of a real bomber plane used at wartime. And since my husband is a war history nerd, of course he had to take our kid there.Beside this cool monument, there were also lots of playgrounds for kids, and you can see the river and also ride a boat at its operational hours.

Gedung Balai Pemuda Surabaya dibangun sejak tahun 1907. Dirancang oleh arsitek Belanda Westmaes. Gedung tersebut milik suatu perkumpulan orang-orang Belanda yang bernama “De Simpangsche Sociёteit” sampai jaman perang kemerdekaan 1945 (sebagai markas Arek-arek Suroboyo yang tergabung dalam Pemuda Republik Indonesia (PRI),sekaligus merupakan MARKAS PEMUDA Arek-arek Suroboyo. Sampai jaman sesudah kemerdekaan seperti yang kita lihat sekarang.
