Huanglong's scenery truly lives up to its reputation. The Five-Colored Pool is breathtaking, the scenery along the way is beautiful, and the scenic trails are reasonably well-maintained. Overall, the scenery is worth a special trip. The biggest drawback is the cable car scheduling; the wait time is too long, and queuing consumes a lot of energy. Long waits at high altitudes are physically demanding and can easily induce discomfort, reducing the time available for exploring the mountain. It is hoped that the scenic area can optimize the cable car scheduling to improve efficiency and reduce waiting times for tourists. Aside from the cable car queue issue, the overall experience at Huanglong is acceptable. I recommend it to those who want to see the Yaochi (Jade Pool) scenery. I suggest allowing ample time and bringing warm clothing and oxygen cylinders.
