王晋德Visiting the Dipterocarp Garden at the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences March 21, 2025, 14:51. The weather was very pleasant during the visit to the Dipterocarp Garden at the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dipterocarpaceae plants are mainly distributed in tropical Asia and are representative tree species of Southeast Asian tropical rainforests, comprising 15 genera and 580 species. The 13 species from 5 genera distributed in China are all listed as nationally protected rare and endangered plants. The Dipterocarp Garden covers an area of approximately 6.7 hectares and has collected and preserved all species from my country and some species distributed in Southeast Asia, making it a very valuable Dipterocarp Garden.

233***65I opted for the entrance ticket plus rainforest elephant grazing package, and it was great. It included rainforest elephant grazing, giving me the opportunity to interact with Asian elephants. Although the time was a bit short, walking with elephants in the rainforest was a unique experience. The park management was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. The route was also very convenient; there's a direct tourist bus from Gaozhuang, and the tour guide on the bus was very helpful, explaining important information and there were no hidden costs. Thumbs up!

158***36Getting to the Dai Ethnic Garden is very convenient! At the Peacock Garden, enjoy the peacock dance performed by Dai girls, visit the White Pagoda Temple and Golden Pagoda Temple, see the Dai stilted houses, and try the lemongrass-grilled fish. Young people can participate in the water-splashing activities at the Water Splashing Square for a refreshing blessing.

M42***17This group-buying package offers the best value for money online. Not only did we have a fantastic time, but it also included a rainforest meal. The air in the mountains was so fresh, the streams were crystal clear, and the scenery was breathtaking. Highly recommended! 👍

贝雷帽和朋友们This wildlife park is packed with interactive experiences and highly recommended for family trips. Almost all the animals are interactive; you can even pet the gentler ones like the Kapibala. You can feed the large carnivores, especially the bears near the entrance, for which there's a specially built viewing platform. The tigers are also available for feeding, and you can even take photos with the cubs up close. The only downside is the climb; the sightseeing bus only covers about 60% of the route…

152***15I made several herbal sachets by hand in Dawa Village, Lijiang Ancient Town Scenic Area, to give to family and friends. When choosing the herbs, I considered their preferences (one for my mother to calm her nerves, one for my best friend to repel mosquitoes), and every stitch I sewed carried my blessings. These little sachets, imbued with the essence of Lijiang's herbs and my heartfelt sentiments, are far more meaningful than any ready-made souvenir!

糖半甜520Sun River Forest Park is a great place for families with children. We hired a guide named Nanli, who gave an excellent tour, answered all our questions, and was very friendly. The kids loved her and were so happy to leave when it was time to go…

夜淡如然Visiting the Mu Palace during the day is the best time to truly appreciate its grandeur. The architectural lines, courtyard layers, and carved beams and painted rafters are all clearly visible in the sunlight, relying solely on their natural beauty without any nighttime filter. The overall scale is considerable, and as you walk around, you can feel the confidence of the Mu family, who once held absolute power in Lijiang. The highlights are the expansive views and meticulous layout. Standing on higher ground overlooking the ancient city, you instantly understand why they could rule for centuries. The downsides are the large number of tourists and the somewhat official-sounding guide signs, but these don't prevent you from taking stunning photos. Overall: Worth a visit, especially during the day to truly appreciate its scale and details.

97号The 3-hour explanation was excellent, the timing was just right, and it wasn't tiring at all even with elderly people. I'm very grateful to Mr. Xiong Lin, the teacher who gave us the explanation; it was truly wonderful!

Haha668888The main attraction is the crater. To ride a hot air balloon, you must go early in the morning. It costs 300 yuan per person, takes 6-8 minutes, and each balloon seats 6-8 people. The highest point reaches about 200 meters, at an altitude of approximately 2000 meters. From the air, you can overlook the Dakongshan crater. If you're traveling with elderly people, I recommend climbing Xiaokongshan (smaller crater), which has about 100+ stairs, while Dakongshan has over 1000. I bravely took the hot air balloon ride, thinking it was worth trying, but make sure to hold your phone securely 📱, and it's best to bring a phone strap to keep it on your body 😜

Achieved a 3-year streak on the annual lists
