As one of the eight scenes of Asahikawa, the Asahikawa City Sculpture Museum was established to commemorate the famous Japanese sculptor Teijiro Nakahara. The core of the museum displays the sculptures left by Teijiro Nakahara, and shows the sculptures of Rodin, Rokuzan Ogiwara, Ishii Tsuruzo, and Shinji Hori, which have had a deep influence on the artistic style of Teijiro Nakahara. The building itself is a Western-style wooden structure historical building originally built in 1902. The architectural style is very strange and it is worth visiting.
