Heavenly music.
Original Text
Winspear never disappoints. I always hoped that when I heard someone coming to town, this was the party place. There was amazing, unparalleled voice. We studied music and comedy here. Go ahead, take your ticket, you won't regret it.
I went to see a few performances, from opera to Alice Cooper. It was a great place to listen to music. Even with the emphasis on performance, many of them took advantage of the acoustics and sang an unaccompanied chorus. There are lots of different types of performances and everyone has something. I very much encourage visitors who like music to watch the performances here.
I have seen many performers at Winspiel Center and the sound effects are incredible. When Bolton Cummings came to perform alone, there was only one piano on stage, and he could talk to the audience with his usual voice without a microphone. Awesome. The Rolling Stones wanted to come here to rehearse before the Edmonton concert, which was not surprising to me at all. The bar staff did a great job, serving everyone during a short intermission. Remember to order your cocktails before watching the first half so you can speed up.
I have seen many different shows in Winspiel and the performers and audience have the same feeling: “The sound effects of this place are very good”. I have tried all kinds of locations and it feels great. When Brandi Carlisle came here to sing Acapella, her voice was just explosive. I've seen ESO and other artists perform here before, and it's quite good, and coming here is a pleasure. Of course sitting in the middle, the view will be better. But personally feel that the seats here are well designed and there are no bad seats. The location of this place is also very good, you can take the light rail connecting the subway center or go to the nearby library parking lot.
What a great venue for a concert , not a bad seat in the house sound was great! If you are Edmonton and what to see a musical event Winspear would be the place.
