恒久平和の願い

こちらは、NTT西日本福井支店大手ビル前、市役所側にあります。 平成七年が戦後五十年の節目にあたる ことから、恒久平和を願い観音堂を建てたそうです。

空襲の犠牲者を弔う観音堂です

和20年7月19日夜の福井空襲の犠牲者を弔うために19年の時を経て観音像が作られました。その後の移転もありましたが、平成7年に改めて観音堂という形にしたのだそうです。
