Pingtan Strait Bridge

I started to put forward ideas in 1992. It was finally built in 2013. It was really not easy. I didn’t expect that there were so many people donating to build it. The amount was not small. It can be seen that the importance of the bridge has suddenly been closer to Pingtan Island and the land. It only takes an hour to reach the county seat from Changle Airport.

Pingtan Strait Public Railway Bridge (Pingtan Straits Rail-cum-Road Bridge) is a sea-crossing channel in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, China. The Pingtan Strait Public Railway Bridge started construction on November 13, 2013; completed all bridge Helong project on September 25, 2019, and the bridge was opened to the whole line; and opened the road section on October 1, 2020 for trial operation; The railway section will be opened to traffic on December 26, 2020. The Pingtan Strait Gongtie Bridge line starts at Panasonic toll station in the north, and the upper cross-Yuanhong Waterway, Guyumen Waterway, and the Daliandao Waterway are south to the Su'ao Toll station; The bridge line is16.323 kilometers long, and the cross-sea section is11.15 kilometers long. The upper layer is a two-way six-lane expressway, with a design speed of 100 km/h, and the lower layer is a double-lane railway, with a design speed of 200 km/h; the total investment of the project is 14.7 billion RMB. On April 26, 2018, the Pingtan Strait Public Railway Bridge broke through the top of the first main tower of the waterway bridge of the "bridge construction restricted area". On June 5, 2019, the main bridge of the Yuanhong Waterway Bridge of the Pingtan Strait Public Railway Dual-use Bridge of Fuping Railway officially joined the dragon. On July 17, the Pingtan section of the Pingtan section of the Pingtan section of the Pingtan section of the Pingtan section of the Pingtan section of the Fuping Railway was fully connected by road and railway. On September 25, the Pingtan section of the Fuping Railway was opened to traffic. The expressway section is expected to open to traffic by the end of November 2020.
